Overall nice hotel if one doesn't have too high expectations. The newly renovated rooms are nice and beds are comfy. The hotel bar is amazing and breakfast for 14GBP was plentyful with an option of hot breakfasts and a buffet. Cocktails were good in the evening.
Just outside Swansea center, the Ibis Swansea Hotel is located in the SA1 waterfront development. The modern hotel offers free parking, a 24-hour front desk and a stylish cafe bar.

Upon seeing Swansea for the first time, it hits you just how green it is, especially when viewed from Kilvey Hill. On a clear day the views stretch as far as sweeping Swansea Bay and even the undulating Mumbles headland at the edge of the Gower Peninsula - the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt beaches.
The Gower is also known for its castles, including Oystermouth Castle and Loughor Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop. Swansea itself also has castle ruins which are Grade I listed, as is the Guildhall with its lavish interior frescoes.
Most historic city centre buildings were sadly lost during World War II, but the elegant Grand Theatre survived, as did Dylan Thomas’ childhood home in Uplands. The Swansea Museum – the oldest in Wales – is opposite the National Waterfront Museum and the LC indoor waterpark.
Offshore conditions are good for kitesurfing, and the marina shelters yachts overlooked by Wales’ tallest building: The Tower, Meridian Quay. I would recomnend the owner stays and tries to cook on the hob, which doesn't work and turn the heating on when needed, which doesn't work except the oil heater stuffed Ino to the small bedroom, try and follow the tv sound, lock the lock box, and check after each tenancy to make sure everything is in order for the next tenant. It isn't right to just say "Well the previous tenants didn't have any problems or have you checked the switches are on? Also we were not believed and no meeting suggested at the Bungalow to discuss. The Holiday Park employees were very polite and helpful even offering us one of their Bungalows so that we could finish our full booking instead of leaving a day early.

We used Swansea as a base for the Gower and found it suitably placed for our visit, we also visited Skewen and Neath for historical family reasons.
We would go back to this hotel again.
The evening meals had a very limited menu and some of the quality of produce was not great.
Favourite places were the Theatre and Bay.
Easy to get around very close to amenities.
We would avoid eating in the hotel restaurant and The secret beach bar and kitchen.

The city has excellent tourist facilities and offers.
The city has excellent tourist facilities and offers. We can mingle with the locals at the local market. The only con is that local commerce closes at 18h. You can reach most of tourist sites by foot. Or if you rent a bike at bike hub is another option. You have many supermarket and many restaurants to choose.

Swansea has a wide sandy beach - several miles long that stretches round the bay to Mumbles . modern marina with waterfront restaurants- I recommend the Welsh Hose - delicious , reasonably priced traditional Welsh food- Just like Mam makes - with a touch of Welsh ouse magic . The Shed also nice, a touch pricy . tasty breakfast at Hoogah Cafe, Bar + Kitchen - recommend their local lavender lemonade, rose or lavender hot chocolate - healthy breakfasts, and light meals - delicious - worth the walk . Swansea Market a must visit- Famous for its free cockles and laver bread- Also sells all sorts of everything including fresh local produce - Butchers- Gower salt marsh lamb, great fishmongers and fresh vegetable stalls, Bakers- look out for the Swanse loaf - great with local butter sold by the pat .Freshly made welsh cakes . Cafes & snack counter, hardware stores, hover repairs - gifts - all sorts of stuff. Singleton and neighbouring Brynmill parks also delightful - LS1 is fun pool and liesure centre close to the town centre - there is also a 50 m pool for more serious swimming mid way around the bay - Max Boyce song suns up the hiraeth and the croeso youy will find at Swansea 'Im going home to Swansea town, where day is dawning, Im going home to Swansea town, a lovely sea town morning "
We came for a one night stay as we were attending a concert in Swansea and this hotel couldn’t be anymore perfect. The room was lovely and really spacious and the hotel grounds were beautiful. There was one lady behind reception (we didn’t get her name) who recommended us a car park for the concert which saved us both money and time which we were so grateful for. The breakfast was really tasty with both a cooked breakfast and continental option. Overall, we had an amazing stay and I wouldn’t definetly stay there again.
Very pleased with this hotel choice for a one night stay in Swansea. We were warmly welcomed at reception and all of the hotel staff we encountered were extremely friendly ( especially Lynn who was looking after guests at breakfast)
As our room was ready when we arrived early, we were able to check in straightaway which gave us some extra time to explore the local area.
The hotel location is ideal- close to the marina and the city centre but also offering easy access to the beach and bay side promenade.
Bob and Orla were excellent hosts and we received a very warm welcome when we arrived on Friday 24th Feb.
We were on the 2nd floor in a lovely room which was very comfortable and warm.
The views from the window were magnificent across the hillside.
The breakfast looked and smelled delicious, unfortunately we had to leave early to go to the open day at Swansea Uni but will definitely have the breakfast next time we visit.
We loved the location and having a fully equipped apartment while staying in Swansea. It was a very clean and modern space inside in a neighborhood with pretty views down to the Swansea Bay. We were on foot and the walk up was strenuous but well worth it for the views and the place. The owner's directions were quite good and our entry went smoothly although we never met the owner.
The hosts had everything ready on arrival. The facilities were great. The apartment was very clean and incredibly spacious. The beds were comfortable and the fans in the rooms were a great bonus (thanks!). It was a nice, easy walk to get to Swansea city centre from the apartment. The views were brilliant.
Loved having plenty of space for our family group of six adults to spread out after a long day in a car or walking around markets. This is great place in a very good location just outside downtown. I would be thrilled to use it again if I'm every back in Swansea.

The bed was comfortable for me . It had a tv , tea/ coffee, and trouser press (!!) Breakfast was excellent and included in my booking. The hotel is in the city centre and very close to the Grand Theatre, which was my reason for going to Swansea.
The location of this hotel was just perfect for our visit to Swansea. A short work to the city centre and close to bars/restaurants etc. The hotel decor was very modern and overall was very well presented and clean.
The room was smelly. I paid for whole weekend but couldn't endure the place for more than 30 minutes. Abandoned the room and booked another accommodation in Swansea on my first night. Not worth it
Very good central location. The hotel room was nice and clean and the hotel staff were 1st rate and very friendly. I fully recommend the Dolphin Hotel and book again next time l visit Swansea.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and facilities, comfortable bed. Lots of choice for breakfast which is included. Our preferred hotel for when we visit Swansea.
The hotel is located at a very convenient position on Swansea Bay, ideal for exploring the beautiful bays within walking distance of Norton House Hotel. Excellent!
Fantastic find! We were in Swansea for the Ironman 70.3 and the apartment was perfectly placed for the event and was so much more convenient than a hotel room!
