Very well appointed king size suit Very clean and ideally situated. The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough with advice about the area, places to visit, and places to eat. The breakfasts are superb as well. Highly recommend.

From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew we had made a great decision booking a stay in Iola's home. She was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful and the view of the countryside outstanding. Brekkie was wholesome and feeling. Left feeling content ... sad we weren't staying longer. Highly recommend The Coach House if you're looking for a lovely night/s away from the ratrace.

Lots of information about activities and sights available to peruse in the sitting room. The kitchen/eating area was bright, sunny and airy. There were plenty of utensils, plates etc. It was quiet in the evenings.

It’s location was perfect , being so close to the town centre, and the River Wye.
The host, Joy, gave me the room key and was very welcoming. Wifi worked well with my iPhone 8.
Room 6 on top floor was more than adequate for a solo traveller, and there’s generous public parking outside the premises, right down to beyond the bandstand, and on the parallel road too.
I slept very well in a comfy bed , shower in en-suite was brilliant, even had a separate dressing area, impressed.

Ross is an interesting town full of history.
Ross is an interesting town full of history. It is also central to the area for trips out. There are activities in the area, especially if you like the outdoors, all within a half hours drive. It is close to Hereford, Ledbury, Symonds Yat and the Wye Valley in general, The Forest of Dean, Monmouth, Gloucester and any other place you might wish to visit for the day. Chepstow is a little further but worth the visit. The roads are generally good A roads and the M50 gets you quickly to the M5.

Rooms were OK but very tired and needs a good referb breakfast coffee toast everything all cheapest quality and they gave us hot dogs !! Yes hot dogs instead of sausages on are breakfast I asked for a refund but refused would not reccomend or stay agai avoid at all cost

Historic border town with easy access to surrounding scenic areas and towns. A good selection of independent shops and restaurants. Good views over the Wye valley and a small friendly theatre. Relatively unspoilt.Mark - 8.0Scored 8.0
Rather disappointed.
Rather disappointed. Town looked tired and had seen better days. Difficult to walk along the river for all the bushes. Having said that, it did rain every day and nowhere looks good unless the sun shines

lovely little town with all sorts of shops to cater for everyone, we had our own food but bought a few bits in the town also visited the architectural store for the second time for quirky buys. A must to visit is Baileys home not far outside Ross on Wye on the Hereford road i simply wanted everything in there!!

The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and fun. Despite the 30 degrees outside the hotel was kept cool especially in the Barr and restaurant. The food in the evening was first class and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was first class too I can definitely recommend the smoked salmon on scrambled eggs. The food (Matt is the chef) is quite simply the best I've tasted in any hotel anywhere! You will be treated like royalty at the hands of Roxy, who is such a warm and genuine person. I LOVE staying here and cannot recommend Orles Barn highly enough.
