The hotel is right in the town centre. Very clean, comfortable and inviting. They went the extra mile with providing us with everything we needed for our stay! The guy at check in was very kind too. This is definitely somewhere we will stay again.

Rooms are good size, new, clean and have a fun decor. Nice little touches with chocolate, Nespresso, etc. There are two nice walks from the hotel, one to the Castle and one along the river. Town is walkable. Designated parking was nice. Restaurant had some of the best food we had in England.

Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway,...
Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway, into Lancaster itself, into Morecambe but also inland into the countryside.
Rooms are the usual fare – clean and tidy but long corridors and a bit soulless.
Food is good.
Remember to register your vehicle registration otherwise you get a parking ticket. We weren't told this and have had to appeal against the ticket. If we lose it's a £100 fine.

I went to university here.
I went to university here. Lancaster is a handsome Northern city. NOT particularly pretty but with lots of architectural interest. The food at 'The Merchants' and 'The Quarterhouse' is excellent - and contrasting. It needs good restaurants and both of these are, in there own way, remarkable. Jay Rayner did a fantastic review of 'The Merchants' in The Guardian. He was right. Brilliant food in a nice setting right in the middle of town and also amazing value. It is 'pub prices' for really sophisticated, but 'wholesome' food. BOTH MUST survive, please.

I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it.
I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it. I still live locally and I went to the hotel as a reward/treat to myself after a significant loss in my life. Lancaster is quite a compact city which is crammed with history and culture and independent shops.

Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting.
Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting. We also visited the Abbey adjacent. We also like the promenade walk along the River Lune which is easily accessible from the hotel. Lancaster is built on hills so for the mobility limited it can be difficult to walk around. We drove directly to the castle car park for blue badge holders. We ate all meals in our hotel.

Lots of interesting buildings.
Lots of interesting buildings. People really friendly, good variety of shops. Went to a lovely sports bar facing the police station, decor amazing cocktails good too. Lots if restuarants to chose from had a lovely Turkish meal just up road from JD sports .seen some good talent at open mic bar . Will definitely recommend a visit to Lancaster I was pleasantly surprised.
The building was very historic and interesting with a good location in the centre of Lancaster which isn't very big to walk around. The room was a decent size. The breakfast was paid for separately but had a very wide choice.
We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and all the food was good. Table service for drinks was also an added benefit.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again.
The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.
They made sure that my stay was as good and relaxing as possible.
The Hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast room was fantastic.
Showing me around the breakfast room and making sure that I found everything I needed.
Complementary fruit and bottles of water in the reception was a very nice touch.
I would definitely stay again if I was to visit Lancaster.
Excellent location, near to all amenities, very clean and warm.
Plenty of room for the six of us. Everything provided and a nice supply of games to keep us occupied of an evening.
Great base for Morecambe Bay, Lancaster, Blackpool and the Lake District.
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and look forward to returning.
I would highly recommend a stay here.
Carole and her team run an excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful food and service 5star. Room clean and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the service second to none. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Central location easy to get to shopping, transport and sightseeing. Would highly recommend the place to stay in Lancaster.
Perfect. My wife and I stayed for one night having delivered our Son to University. The room was stunning, the staff very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was freshly prepared and very filling. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and again we couldn't fault the food, wine or service. This will be our hotel of choice when visiting Lancaster.
Given that we only spent one night so our experience was limited; the front desk person - Abby- checking us in and out was wonderful. She was ever so pleasant, every question and request was calmly and efficiently handled. The Hotel was clean and very pleasant but Abby was what made it feel welcoming and relaxing.
The hotel was ok. That is it, i cant say any more. In fact if you are not meeting someone at the Uni i would suggest staying elsewhere. It is some way out of town if you need to get dinner etc. Unless you order take away for delivery.
Great location, only a few minutes from Lancaster University and about ten minutes from Lancaster. Lovely walk just down the path, quiet road with great outdoors. Also loved the bar area, the staff was very friendly and attentive.
Didn't have breakfast. Used the swimming pool twice which was a welcome facility. Used the park and ride to go into Lancaster which was very convenient but no mention of it on the hotel website
It was a small but lovely, well laid out, clean efficiency apartment. Met all of our needs. Perfect for spending the days in Lancaster and having a nice spot to relax and re-energize at night.
Good hotel on the university campus. Easy access quiet room. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good pub meals. Try the Lancashire hotpot. Easy access to Lancaster and the lakes
