Good shopping centre, great riverside walks, historic buildings ( we didn't get chance to visit) and visiting loch Ness, this is 20minute bus ride away, personally I would recommend viewing from the bus as the cruise was nice but not good value for money.

It's an amazing city!
It's an amazing city! It's so beautiful, not big and crowdy, but at the same time you can find so many things to do there.
There are lots of places for a nice walk: along the river Ness, city center, Caledonial canal, woods. Loch Ness is just 20 minutes drive, castles, beaches are all not far.
The Botanical garden is small but really nice and it's free!
I enjoyed to visit Eden Court every evening - to watch a cinema or for a concert.
There are lot of nice restaurants.
The Dolphin spirit boat trip was astonishing as well!
Really recommend to visit

Everything was within walking distance of the apartment.
Everything was within walking distance of the apartment. The walk along the Banks of the River and across the bridges was exceptional particularly with the spring flowers adorning the flower beds and banks. Views to the Castle and the Cathedral made for beautiful photographs. If it's nightlife you're after plenty of pubs offering live entertainment of a high standard.
Choice of eateries to suit every pocket and every cuisine. No need to hire a car, as the bus station offers buses to a wide range of tourist destinations, Culloden, Nairn, Aberdeen, Skye and Glasgow to name only a few. We will definitely return to this vibrant friendly city. Shopping is also good both for tourist gifts and also for the shopping Mall experience in the Eastgate Centre. Maybe next time weather permitting we may see the Northern Lights? This city will leave you feeling you've had a break and enjoyed the walking experience.
Ivanhoe was one of my favorite stays on my trip to Scotland. Directions and check-in were easy, Janette’s son was polite and helpful, room was cozy, clean, had its own bathroom, and nice personal touches. I got in late so missed a chance to get dinner on my way so the crisps and biscuits provided in my room were a godsend! The best part of all was the homemade breakfast and Janette’s smiling face which started my day off nicely. I would absolutely recommend and stay here again.
The location of the hotel was it's best feature: easy walking from/to the train station, bus station, tour bus pickup and many of the Inverness attractions. The apartment itself was a spacious open area with living room and open kitchen. Kitchen was well equipped with coffee maker and microwave. Bedroom size was fine. The apartment was clean but appeared it had seen better days and the heater in the living area didn't function, thought the bedroom and bath heaters did.
On our amazing trip around Scotland for two and a half weeks, we had an overnight stay at Carisbrooke Guest House in Inverness on our trip from Shetland to the Isle of Skye. Nice place and centrally located close to the city center. Good facilities. Our room was in the building at the back. Calm and quiet. The hosts were helpful and very attentive to our well-being. Delicious and varied breakfast.

This is literally the PERFECT location for early/late flyers! It is a stone's throw from the airport, out the front door, across the street and VOILA. The train from Inverness dropped us off. It was a good distance walk directly to the hotel, but not difficult unless you have a LOT of luggage. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast that came with my room was hearty and delicious,
The house was of a really lovely standard, very clean and a great location just outside Inverness. Great surprise of a small park outside for the kids to play on.
The house had all the amenities and equipment you would need for a really comfortable stay, couldn’t really fault it at all.
The comms with the owner was always great too.
Would definitely use again when we decide to return to Scotland!
Everything...Kenny was an excellent host, and the place was fabulous. Room was very clean and tidy, and had everything you can ask for. Breakfast was the best we've had in 2 weeks of holiday in Scotland.
I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested in visiting Inverness.
We stayed in Scotland for a week, travelling from Inverness to Skye and back. This was the cheapest property we stayed in by about 30%. It was the quietest room during the night of the lot and offered a delicious kipper and egg breakfast which no one else matched. Really good deal!
Chris was a great host. His breakfast’s were the best in Scotland. The complimentary chocolates and whiskey were great. Great deal all around and only a few blocks walk to the restaurants and river attractions. Free street parking in front of the property was very convenient.
Very economical!! Great location, about 10 minutes to the train station. I was here for 3 consecutive cycling trips, with pickup and departure at the train station each time. This is where I'll stay the next time I travel with Wilderness Scotland from Inverness.
The size of the room
the staff was very helpful
breakfast was very good, a very large variety of food
the room was very clean, new towels every day
the hotel was very close to the center of Inverness , near the Ness River
the price for the room was great
Everything is clean, and the bedrooms are super comfortable and cosy. We were amazed that we could stay in such a fantastic property in Inverness. All of my friends agree here is the best accommodation for our journey in Scotland.
Hotel in downtown Inverness, in pedestrian downtown, close to shopping centres, close to bus and train stations and within a walk of canal. Moderately priced for Scotland, but still not worth the money.
David, Deidre and their dog Pavo were great. David went all out in giving us tips for our Scotland roadtrip. The breakfast was simple but excellent. Great raspberry jam!
The location in Inverness was great. Close to the town center, but away from the noise. The breakfast buffet was one of the best that we had in Scotland.
