This is our third time staying in one of the Clock themed rooms. Very comfortable, lovely bathroom, good hot drink selection in room, just perfect for a couple's break.

Very good breakfast, as little or as much as you wanted. Choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, full English, toast, fruit juice, tea, coffee. Good location, 10 to 15 minute walk to city centre. Welcoming, friendly staff. Value for money.

Great Central location.
Decor is fresh
Breakfast starts at 8, a little late for working stays, but they did assist with 730, much appreciated. Breakfast staff amazing
Staff were very amenable and it was an easy hotel to access.

Current renovation work meant we swapped rooms as initially all we had was scaffolding at the window.
Breakfast was just adequate but definitely not great value.

Ask the reception for a quiet room, mine was overlooking the M56, luckily I had some earplugs with me so that filtered out the noise.
Its ok but would rate the hotel as being on the same level as a Premier Inn, it used to be a more higher rating than a Premier Inn but standards are not what they used to be.
Food was ok but don't expect 4* restaurant class food.
I cannot comment on the other facilities as was only there for one night

Garden City is an awful place.
Garden City is an awful place. Luckily, this hotel isn’t really in Garden City but conveniently placed just off the A55. The nearest village is Hawarden, which is lovely - pubs, farm shop, Gladstone Library. But really this hotel is a base to explore Chester (15 mins drive) or the North Wales coast.

On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were extremely busy but the rooms were quiet.
The room was of a good size and well equipped with hairdryer and ironing board etc.
I found the mattress hard but this may just be personal preference.
The bath was very slippery without a mat or rough surface for showering. This should be rectified as it could be dangerous.
Tea and coffee were provided but these were very basic. It would have been nice to have had more of a choice.
We were visiting family in Hawarden but also had a trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks planned. The hotel is
Overall I felt it offered good value for money.

Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up.
Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up. However the accommodation was of a very poor standard. Handy place to stay in terms of location. But I wouldn’t recommend if you have very high standards of cleanliness.
Checking in was simple and quick, the staff were very friendly and always happy to help and answer any questions. The room was very clean and well ventilated. I attended the hotel and stayed due to a weekend training event and again the service provided for this was excellent. I was also able to enjoy the pool facilities and again checking in to this was fast and easy with nothing but smiles and willingness to help from the staff. Highly recommended to stay here.
Hotel guests take second place, gym full of old local people, restaurant is really expensive and always full of football enjoyers, can't really say it's guest focused. No food after 9.30 pm. Overall, room was ok. Just don't expect too much
Unfortunately the facilities that we paid for were not working which spoiled the occasion for us as we look forward to having our Spa breaks and always make full use of the facilities.
Nice hotel with lots of good facilities, swimming with the kids was great, very big room for family too. Good bar area. The pros outweigh the cons overall for an overnight stay.
