The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant and at breakfast was very good. There is plenty of parking. Room was on the first floor and it was quiet even when there were big parties going on down stairs.

I was left to myself with nobody fussing after me. After the initial meeting, nobody offering me bargain offers, or upgrades, it was splendid. Andrew is a wonderful host, quietly efficient and the Full English breakfast is Delightful. If I should find myself near Darlington and in need of accommodation I will certainly contact the Balmoral
