The location is good. It’s an old hotel with charm and is slowly undergoing a programme of refurbishment. Our sea view room was clean, the food was good, much better than previous years, staff are very helpful. Nice lounge and quiet seating areas.

The hotel was very central in Dartmouth. Although there was no parking at the hotel during the day there was plenty of overnight free parking from 6pm to 9am very close to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and a dog goody bag was a very nice touch. Room was well furnished with Elemis toiletries and refreshments.

We found space in the car park which is always a problem in the town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was like a modern day Fawlty Towers. We did have a laugh about it though.
Set back from Livermead Beach, the Waters Edge Hotel offers limited on-site parking. Torquay Railway Station is just 500 metres away, while the coach station is 2 km away.

Peaceful and picturesque location. Lovely walk to the local ferry to visit Greenway and visit Agatha Christie’s home. Easy to navigate to Dartmouth via main ferry. Waking up to the delightful peal of the church bells, set in charming countryside and with friendly locals, Dittisham is perfect place to relax and recharge 😊❤️

Dittisham is a small but perfectly formed village by the Dart estuary that is a ferry ride to Greenway, the home of Agatha Christie, now owned by the National Trust.
The village has access to the ferry to Dartmouth also which is well worth a visit.
Dittisham is hilly with great views but may be a challenge to people with mobility issues . Dog friendly (even on the ferry boats) and a good walking area.
We ate at the Sportsman which was a 12 minute car drive away & had delicious food including a decent vegetarian meal. We also had a meal (scampi & chips & a veg curry) at the Red Lion. The FBI (Ferry Boat Inn) does have a pizza menu but we didn't eat there. All 3 pubs served "real ale", the Sportsman having the best!
Recommended to pop into St George's church which has some incredible medieval paintings on the pulpit & wooden freeze.

Beautiful and picturesque little village.
Beautiful and picturesque little village. Watching the river was so peaceful. Children (and adults) loved crabbing from the Pier. Ferry Boat Inn is a real gem you’d be thrilled to have as your local. Lovely walks around the village and further afield. Only downside, the roads in the area are not the best, many single track so driving can be a little stressful. We found other road users to be careful and considerate overall though. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, we absolutely loved Dittisham.
