Location was spectacular on Las Ballenas although road noise and loud music surround the location (not bad in the unit but the surrounding area). Cleanliness was good, shower small but lots of hot water, large space and great view. Close to a couple of good restaurants in particular Playa 18. Sesame chicken at the next door restaurant Eden was spectacular.

Very lovely area and safe. We got there by bus from Santo Domingo in 2 hours and the price was like $10. There are a lots of amazing restaurants by the beach with different type of food: pizza, ceviche, salads, pasta, etc. Lots of places to dance and have a drink.

The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR.
The Saone Peninsula is the most pleasant part of DR. A large number of different beaches, so that everyone can find something suitable for themselves. Traffic in the city is chaotic, but perfectly manageable once you get used to it, both by car and motorbike. Pleasant sitting and sipping cocktails at the Colibri beach bar. You have a lot possibilities to eat, different restaurants, bars, or you grab smth on the street.

Ballenas beach was amazing for swimming, and great restaurants nearby . We stayed at a smaller condo/hotel close to the beach and were very happy. Feed the poor homeless dogs. The town itself is chaotic and noisy but Ballenas beach area was wonderful

My family and I often go to Las Terrenas where we enjoy the clean water and beach, the lush vegetation and the overall low key ambiance. We do long walks on the beach, surfing and we enjoy the excellent restaurants - Italian and French - in town. Terrenas is for the indépendant traveler who wants to discover other culture. There are also beautiful excursions avsilable: Los Haitises with their unique eco system, the hike to El limon waterfall and catamaran rides to other beaches! Waiting to go back!

Las Terrenas is a busy, small town filled with motorcycles,...
Las Terrenas is a busy, small town filled with motorcycles, ATV's and cars crowding the streets. Once you learn the direction (one way streets) quite manageable. Parking can be a problem in some places but the better restaurants have attendants to help you find a spot. The two large grocery stores have ample parking. A very good choice of nice, highly rated beachside restaurants. More casual dining experiences along the main downtown streets. Lots of French and especially Italian influence. KiiKii beach bar/restaurant sells POUTINE, as good as any in Quebec! Cheese locally made. Even found an outlet selling Beavertails!
Beaches are beautiful and you can park on most of them. Loud "Boom Box" music coming out of the cruising or parked cars and ATV's will make you smile! La joie de vivre is everywhere! Il Lemon waterfall is beautiful and worth the trip if you are able. Clave Verde Eco lodge up the mountain for a change of scenery and wonderful lunch.
Support the locals and buy something!!
Breakfast was delicious every day. I tried a few different things. The yogurt was surprisingly great. The coffee had a nice spice in it and there was complimentary fresh fruit and juice with breakfast every morning. Las Terrenas is still figuring out its tourism scene (which makes it wonderful because the beaches are still very untouched and not too busy if you go at the right time), so don't expect the kind of resort-like experience you may get elsewhere, but it was exactly what we were looking for.
We LOVED Las Palmas Eco Residence. So much so, that we stayed one night longer.
The garden surrounding the beautiful little houses is gorgeous, very well kept & so peaceful and quiet.
Faculties are extra clean, have everything needed and the staff is very nice and helpful.
The beach is literally 2 minutes by foot in a straight line, where you’ll also find the only palm tree providing shade on the whole stretch of sand.
I would recommend this place 100% to anyone coming to Las Terrenas.
Everything!!! Simply every little moment and details were special!
The staff from all the sectors performed at high levels their duties, always with their eyes for the details and customs comfort.
We kindly thanks the following kitchen staff that perfectly took care of our staying:
Yeilin, Angelica, Júlio, Carlos,.Elane, Elian, Vanessa, Antonio, Maria, Elicha, Yerani, Daniel, Nicauri and Marisol.
We can't wait to return to Wyndham V Samana, our best experience ever!!!
This place is wonderful. It is spacious, well-taken care of, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Terra Taina very much. Mathias and Markus are most kind, welcoming and helpful. They gave us lots of recommendations about what there was to do in Las Terrenas and how best we could get around the area. We felt very well taken care of and the breakfast was absolutely delicious every single day. We would definitely recommend and also come and stay here again.
perfect location! less than 5 minutes waking to the beach, close to everything you need and very safe. the apartment is new, large and nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable, there is a bidet and warm water and a very good Italian restaurant. but the best thing about this place is the kindness and availability of the owner, which I am truly grateful for all the help. absolutely recommend to everyone! (also incredible deal for quality/prices in las Terrenas)
Beautiful in style accommodation which was an excellent experience. Fine breakfast with a perfect sea view. Clean bungalow. Willing receptionist. Minimarket nearby. Walking distance to center. Las Terrenas is very nice relaxing smaller town with plenty of restaurants, beautiful beaches and not so touristic compared to Punta Cana. Great place to stay.
it was better than we thought it would be! a perfect little hideaway in las terrenas. the best thing was the surprise outdoor shower in the room - with HOT water!! the staff in amazing - special shout out to Ivellise and Noelia. the owners were also very n is people - they were there every morning to greet guests and make breakfast
The staff is arrogant and not helpful. I was very disappointed after having spent time in other hotels in the Dominican Republic, where people is so nice. I would never go back. The food was of very low quality. The French restaurant is an exception : excellent food and staff.
the hotel is not located on the main street, so it is quieter. but it's a long walk to the beach, by car is 5 mins. If the room faces the mountain, it is quite quiet; if it faces the road, the sounds of cars may disturb you. very friendly staff, delicious breakfast.
We had a really lovely stay at Leeloo Boutique Hotel.
The bungalows and the pool are beautiful and clean. The location is awesome and Gabi, the manager of the hotel, gave us a lot of tips for Las Terrenas.
Also, the breakfast was delicious.
There’s no better location for this price. You’re 1 minute from the beach, with 2 of the best restaurants in town and a smoothie shop just next door. Will stay here again if I’m ever in las terrenas.
The hotel has been preserved as we remember it from 7 years ago. It is clean and well maintained.
The maids did their job perfectly and were always smiling and responsive.
Everytime i visit Las Terrenas i saty at this hotel. That says everything. Excelent location, nice rooms, quite spot and very helpfull and gentle staff
