Good location with free parking. Huge modern apartment with well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms (one is a passage room) are upstairs and accessible via a spiral staircase. Very clean. We had problem with the enter code but the host solved our problem very quick.

Sønderborg is a good location for some days to explore the town, surrounding nature and the historical monuments. The castle and Dybbøl are both important parts of the history of Denmark.
The town houses a top restaurant (Hotel Alsik) and several restaurant with a more normal price range. We enjoyed a dinner in the Mongolian restaurant which has many well prepared dishes (buffet), beer and wine to fair prices. Perhaps not Michelin style, but we enjoyed it very much and several dishes were excellent; my wife loved the crispy vegetables, and I loved the barbecued pork ribs with frites and the fried seafood.

Sønderborg is a beautiful town to visit when you're in the southern part of Denmark. It has arguably the best waterfront in the entire country and has an immensely rich history. The university brings a lively youthful and international atmosphere in the city by attracting young students from all over the world. Likewise, the multinational company Danfoss - which has its main headquarters in the nearby town of Nordborg, attracts professionals and their families to the city and heavily contributes to its development. Spending a few days in the town is a guaranteed wonderful escape from the hectic city life and allows one to enjoy the simpler things in life.

We were visiting old friends in Sonderborg and WW2 memorials on Als so we didn't have enough time to see more of the place but the parts we did visit were great. I have to say that the people of Sonderborg and Als were and are probably are the best of the best. My uncle was killed while flying in Lancaster bombers over Als during the war so my visits to Sonderborg are usually to pay my and my families respects to the people of Als.
The breakfast fell like one from a 5-star hotel. And it changed a little bit from the previous day, so we didn't get bored. Royal Copenhagen tableware!
The beds were comfy for my taste.
The place is very quiet and with a nice lake view.
Cozy common area.
Good selection of drinks in the maxi-bar.
On-site butcher and shop brings some life to the area.
Plenty of parking space.
Nespresso coffee and tea in the room.
Present scented toiletries.
Easily the best, largest, and most extraordinary breakfast buffet I have ever experienced.' Actually added significant value to the high cost of the room. The view from the room was magnificent and the shower even better than mine at home. The entire hotel is spotless, first rate and well-deserving of its 4 stars.
The hotel location is a about 10 minutes drive by car to centre or slot parking place . Nearby shopping malls, the area is peaceful and super quiet.
Swimming pool small , clean and deep enough for swimming.
Bicycles available but only for short distance, just like city bikes.
It was simply a perfect stay. From the warm welcome to excellent dinner in a nice restaurant. I can absolutely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cosy place close to the castle and the city center. I will surely visit Sønderborg again and I just know where to stay!
It's a very nice but expensive Hotel & Spa. Everyone was very nice. Excellent breakfast. They made sure my dog had some bowls, a bed and some food and chewies. Love that. Also love how big the towels are!
Easy walk from Sønderborg Station and close to the beach & Dybbøl Mølle. Lots of room, can easily house a small family/many friends. Quiet and peaceful experience. Great facilities 👍🏻
