The room was comfortable and functional. As a single person there for work is was perfectly acceptable. There was also a huge amount of space around the reception area either to work or relax.
Pool and sauna were a fantastic option to have after a busy day.

There was a great restaurant across the square from the hotel, next to the station building. The Pizza was especially good.
There was free parking in the station carpark around 100m away from the hotel and what looked like a number of other free parking opportunities in the area.

Lovely little town with a variety of old buildings, small streets, lovely park areas and good choices of food outlets. Ate at the Ristorante Fratelli across the street from the hotel. Excellent ! ! Easy to walk around to town.

Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag.
Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag. We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to travel to Legoland and other parts of Jutland. The drive into Kolding was slow due to traffic, and finding parking next to the hotel was tricky with the different duration rules, but then settled on parking in the hotel itself. In the evening, around 7ish, the area around the castle felt very quiet, too quiet. There were restaurants open but it did not feel lively, though this may have been because it was mid April.
A nice stop was at the StorCentre shopping centre. Plenty more people here, lots of shops and lots of food opens. Restaurants seem to stay open longer here than the rest of denmark in general.
All in all not a bad stay, definitely needed more time to explore.

Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake.
Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake. Good starting point for a daytrip to other sights in Denmark such as Ribe (viking town), Legoland (less then 1 hour drive), Kopenhagen (2.5 hours), Bogense (50 mins).
Only a view minutes from the lake you have several sushi bars, pizza takeaways, thai restaurant, fine dining, supermarket and a passage with pubs. There is also a wonderful botanical garden with petting zoo (goats), rose garden and a miniture of the town of Kolding to walk through.

Kolding is a nice town with a good history.
Kolding is a nice town with a good history. The viking castle in the middle of the town is obviously a main attraction, but if you look further you'll find a toy-museum downtown, and if you venture a little outside of the center, you'll find the Trapholt museum, which is very modern and progressive. Kolding also has an amazing graffiti-culture which really shines when you walk around downtown.
If you're looking for lunch, go to either Tobber's or The Mokka Café, and if you rather fancy a burger the only place you need to go is the Burger Spot.
If you're looking for dinner, you can have dinner at the restaurant in the viking castle. It's one of the best restaurants in Kolding. A bit pricey, but worth it. Otherwise, downtown you'll find Rafael's Ristorante, and if you're not in the mood for Italian, you can skip down to Hereford Beefstouw.
If you want to hit the town for a beer in the evening, there are three quality places to look for. If you're looking for the young crowd you need to go to Knud's Garage. For a more adult crowd seek out the You'll Never Walk Alone pub (this is also the place to go if you're looking for a sports-pub). Finally, if you're more of a nightclub kinda person, Pitstop is the best in Kolding.
For Danish prices, I would say this was great value for money, if you travel by car. Pretty big room. The breakfast was phenomenal. I would definitely stay here again! I booked this place, because I had stayed at Scandic hotels before and I knew they provide a certain standard, regardless of the number of stars and I was not disappointed. Staff was very nice, especially a younger blond girl (did not catch the name), who was working the breakfast and a lady (I would assume of Asian heritage), who was in charge of the check in Friday evening.
The location is right opposite the train station. It is walkable to many attractions. The bus stops are nearby too.
The hotel provides drinks and slurpy at the ground floor. The breakfast is sumptuous too.
The room is big enough for a solo traveller like me. After checked-out, i can still sit at the lobby and have a cup of tea.
New hotel opposite railway station, and close to lake and town centre for shops and restaurants. Very clean, comfortable room, with good wifi. I liked the fancy phone charging point by the bed, with USB and even cordless. Good breakfast included. Good value for this class of accommodation.
Nothing was too much trouble, Staff were always willing to help. We got married in Kolding and on our return to the hotel after the ceremony the Staff had made hearts from towels on our bed.
Great breakfast.
Location is excellent for the train station and access to the town centre.
Check-in was smooth. The person at the desk took her time to explain everything about the hotel.
Also during check-out, I felt no rush from the personell. We received complimentary coffee to go. Really nice!
The restaurant has great quality food.
The owner was very kind and friendly. She told me the shortest way to the hotel from the station when I told her my arrival time. It was really helpful because I had big baggages and it was raining when I arrived at the station.
We've spent one night in Mit Bed & Breakfast. Everything was exeptional, clean and comfortable. Karen Margrethe is a lovely host. I can't recomend her and her BnB more. :) Kolding is a beautiful city!
Just as a place to stop for a night going thru Denmark, perfect. App based access, you make your own bed, no breakfast - but fair value for money, and clean and simple solution for a night of sleep.
Excellent location. Very friendly staff. We celebrated our wedding in Kolding and this hotel has wonderful views and scenery for wedding pictures. They had a huge and tasty breakfast buffet.
We had a short but pleasant stay in Kolding at the cozy room. Very helpful and flexible owner who has even assisted us with our battery problem of our car. Good communication with the owner.
The parking is OK, and the breakfast was not too bad, although there was not enough room for everyone to sit (and the restaurant next door has plenty of space but was not allowed).
Very friendly staff.
Breakfast was great.
Location is central, just a couple of minutes to downtown by foot.
Parking free by the house.
Felt great first time in Denmark.
New and modern hotel, opposite of the train station, directly in the city center. Very nice rooms with huge windows, not „hygge“ but stylish and modern.
