Quiet in the old village but just enough restaurants, bars and cafes to keep us entertained.
No apres ski to speak of.
Bus system is quite good but not all that frequent, and beware, they sometimes leave early from the smaller stops.

Fügen is a nice village in the Zillertal area with good connections to the various parts of the Zillertal and surrounding cities. Fügen itself is rather small but has some warehouses, hotels and restaurants to provide anything one would really need on a holiday.

A beautiful, friendly village with plentiful amenities and stunning vistas. Well connected with only a 30 minute drive to the city of Innsbruck. Many fantastic climbs for those into rock climbing and bouldering all accessible within 45 minutes of the village. Local cafes and restaurants are authentic and well priced.

We were there to help out with our very young granddaughter, who was learning to ski, and not to ski ourselves, but we saw that the skiing facilities are excellent. For non-ski days, the ErlebnisTherme swimming complex was superb. We ate at a couple of places - Hotel Bruno, where family were staying, and the Kohlerhof - really good value and good quality. Getting around Fugen is easy. It's a big, sprawling place nowadays, and obviously, in half-term week, relatively crowded (although nowhere near as congested as Mayrhofen. Public transport is good, however, - free ski-buses, and very cheap rail travel on the Zillertalbahn.
Nice and stylish hotel in small village in the mountains. Nice and friendly service at check in and check out. Parking lot was small and challenging. Wi-fi was fast with no issues.
The room was clean, quiet, spacious enough, and with large closet and nice couch. We got a baby bed even without request. The bathroom was standard.
Fantastic view from the room! We were lucky to get the room with the largest balcony with nice flowers.
An excellent apartment in perfect condition with great facilities.
The kitchen is equipped with all utensils, crockery and cutlery.
Location wise it's walking distance to the chairlift and some nearby restaurants. The main Fugen town is down the hill.
WiFi is fast. Water pressure is strong.
Beds are very comfortable, and there are external block out shutters on every window.
Phillip and his family are very hospitality.
They give us a warm welcome and change our apartment to bigger one without extra fees.
We booked 5 nights.
It is the best apartment we reserved in austrea.
Great location. Very clean, quite and comfort.
Also there is washing machine with drayer only for €2 per wash.
If we come back to fugen sure we will stay at aberghof apartment.
Absolutely recommend.
New apartment, everything is done in high quality.
No noise pollution - You can barely hear what's going on outside. Unless your windows are opened.
The supermarket is around 300m close by.
Under 10 mins by car to Hochfugen or Zillertal Arena.
Honorable mentions:
Roller blinds, double toilets, always warm inside, equipment in the kitchen
we stayed there only one night on the way to some other places. Everything was ok, clean and excelent breakfast. Fugen is a small village at the bottom of Innsbruck mountains. I would worth it to stay longer and be at this nice place, but we only passed trought.
Only little dissadvantage was that they have no late checking (up to 10pm), but we were on time.
The public areas, the wellness and the rooms were really clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was always available, but they weren’t disturbing. The staff of the restaurant was very friendly, especially Richard. Richard’s wine recommendation was really good. We had a wide variety of vegetables and we enjoyed the main courses and desserts as well.
Good location with easy access to the ski lifts, lots of shops and restaurants around, family run hotel. The only thing you have to be careful with is when you travel with teenagers that like to play and laugh in the evenings, you might get told off by the owner even if you’re loud before quiet hours
The best value for money I've had in my trip to Austria!
Peter, the host, was amazing. He welcomed us warmly, took care of everything, and personally made us a good coffee & tea.
The room was excellent. Comfy beds and a cute balcony with a fantastic mountainous view.
The spa facilities are wonderful! Much larger and encompassing than I expected- they have two areas one for adults and one for families. The hotel is quite large, and has great access to the ski bus. Reception is lovely, really friendly and kind.
A very nice family hold hotel. Friendly staff, very tasty breakfast and dinner. A bus stop for a ski stop directly in front of the hotel. Kids under 2 (or probably even under 5) are staying there for free, it was very nice.
