A beautiful bed and breakfast in Samaipata in a heritage building. The owner Lina is lovely - in addition to always looking like a movie star she is so helpful and accommodating. She prepared an excellent breakfast every day as well!

As you can see from the other reviews, Bert and Maria run an excellent hostel in Samaipata, which is one of the best places to visit in Bolivia. Its a walk up from the town, but you are rewarded with peace, quite and lovely views. You can go walking directly from the Hostel for miles and miles. We stayed in a private room, which was just fine. Samaipata is about three hours from Santa Cruz - Bert arranged for Elias, a friendly taxi driver, to pick us up from Santa Cruz and take us back to the airport

It's a great hostel. Beds are comfortable and there is a reading lamp and a plug next to the bed. Common area and kitchen are well equipped and they are very comfortable to hangout. Outside area has amazing view and hammocks. Owner is super friendly and helpful, he called the bus company for us (we don't speak Spanish). Breakfast is big and has fresh fruits and pancakes included. Also the hostel cats are really cute. The hostel is also very clean and well taken care of.

one of the most beautiful experiences I have had in Bolivia and I have lived on and off for 11 years in this country. The hotel is charming, quiet, with vistas and animals, and the perfect hosts. The food and service were better than the five star hotels in which I have stayed in Santa Cruz, Tarija, La Paz, and Sucre.
