Located in a private estate overlooking the blue waters of Lake Taupo, The Point Luxury Villa is a holiday home featuring a spacious terrace, garden and views of Mount Rapehu. Everything about this accomodation was soo beautiful. The house was well thought out and there’s absolutely nothing essential that isn’t provided throughout the entire house. The views were amazing. The surrounding was gorgeous. It felt soo homely. We didn’t want to leave.

The property was immaculate and safe and the other residents were quiet and respectful. It had everything we needed and although we never used the sauna or gym, we loved that the option was there for us. Also loved the 2 car parks in the basement and the overall safety and security of the entire premises. Above all, the view was spectacular.

Located on a picturesque rose garden, Phenix Resort - Taupo is 2 minutes' walk from Lake Taupo and 20 minutes' walk from Taupo City Center. It is 1.7 mi from Taupo Airport. Its important to note I booked a room with a Thermall spa/pool and it was soooooooooooo awesome!!! I used it every night and would definitely stay here again. The staff was wonderful and actually attending to the beautiful garden in the middle of the property upon my arrival. My room was clean and included a well stocked kitchen area (fridge, stove, pots/pans, coffee/cream, etc.). Now it is an older property so please do not expect the Marriott, however, if you want a unique experience with an insanely beautiful garden area, this is your property. It is important to note it is a short drive to the city center, but I was able to walk 20-30 minutes to nearby pub which is along the lake with wonderful views. DEFINITELY GET THE THERMAL TUB IF YOU"RE ABLE!!!!
