Great location with restaurants nearby, although downhill so a car may be required. The room was clean and comfortable and you have access to Netflix if required. It was marked as ‘No Breakfast’ but we saw other reviews where people commented on breakfast. We were pleased to find a basic continental breakfast was provided, this included various cereals, pastries, breakfast biscuits etc plus milk, jam and lots of tea/coffee/hot chocolate to drink. We were very satisfied.
Mulberry Lodge is located in Blarney, 1 km from Blarney Stone and 1.7 km from Blarney Woolen Mills, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed.

Facing Cork City Hall, the Clayton Hotel Cork overlooks the River Lee. It offers beautifully designed air-conditioned rooms, a health and spa centre with pool, and a fine restaurant.

Blarney made a great post for us to adventure around the south of Ireland. We spent 5 days here bouncing from Cork to the coast and in between. It is small and quiet but charming. There is plenty to visit in the town so we did spend a whole day here as well visiting the castle and local shops.

Blarney is a wonderful little town.
Blarney is a wonderful little town. We enjoyed eating at Muskerry Arms Bar and Christy's Bar while we were there. Everything was walkable and felt very safe. We also bought a few items from Blarney Woolen Mills. This store offered the most Irish wool clothing of anywhere we saw throughout our tour of the country.
We also visited Blarney Castle and grounds. The gardens around Blarney Castle are incredible. There is so much more to see here than we expected. Our trip was in March, so we needed to wear a light winter jacket, but that also meant there were no lines for kissing the stone and touring the castle.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. However, facilities were poor with no on-site restaurant after 4pm, reception area small, food only available in the pub next door. Fine for a business trip but not for a holiday, very basic.

It is a fab hotel but there is something going on with the lift. Every time we got into the lift there was a really bad smell. It smelt like sewage . When we were leaving that morning it was really bad. Other than that l had no complaints . Very happy.

The hotel was lovely.
The hotel was lovely. I was there during a very warm spell so opened the window for air. Unfortunately since my room also overlooked the parking lot, there was noise and light pollution. This would not have been a problem though, but for the open windows.

Lots to see here in addition to the castle.
Lots to see here in addition to the castle. There was no wait line to see the stone and I still spent about two hours looking around the castle and grounds. Note there is a considerable climb up a tight, circular, old stone staircase to get to the stone! But you can see most of the castle without climbing.
we really enjoyed our stay and our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. rooms were clean and comfortable, the house was in a great location close to Blarney village and castle and an easy drive to Cork, Kinsale and Cobh. Breakfast was generous, fresh and varied. We would definitely recommend. Thanks again for making us so welcome and for all the extra details especially over the New Year.
Everything about the Blarney Castle Hotel is exceptional. Hotel staff is so friendly and helpful...just amazing. The food served for breakfast, and for dinners, are nicely prepared and taste so good...just amazing. The accommodations are very clean, have been recently renovated, and the rooms are perfect...just amazing. The owner of the Hotel is so nice and he wants to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. We stayed 2 nights.
We liked the location walking distance to the castle bus and a number of eateries we had a beautiful room lovely and clean the staff were all very pleasant the breakfast was delicious we eat in Christie's bar for our evening meal the food was absolutely gorgeous and plentiful and nothing was much trouble for the staff The public bus to Cork was just outside which was really handy I would thoroughly recommend the hotel for everything
We had a wonderful stay at Maranatha Country House. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and beautiful. The hosts Douglas and Olwen were very warm and friendly. Both went extra miles to make us felt so welcome. The surrounding was so peaceful and beautiful. We will definitely recommend anyone to stay here if they don't want to miss out on a wonderful stay around Blarney. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Ireland.
These accommodations were within walking distance to the Blarney Castle which was a huge plus. They have their own parking, although we chose to just to park in front of the hotel/restaurant. Everyone was very accommodating and the food in the restaurant was good! A huge shout out goes to the staff who mailed my necklace to me in the US that I had left in the room. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
The breakfast was delicious and the service was prompt. When you walk into the hotel, it smelled fresh and the decor was welcoming and very pretty. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had dinner at Christys Bar that is on the property, and it was absolutely delicious. Great service. The property had plenty of parking and an easy walk to the Blarney Stone Castle. Highly recommend.
Really nice stay. hotel location could not be better for Blarney and a short short walk to the village and castle. Good Covid controls in place. Staff were all super and warmly welcoming across the board which was a real highlight. Food was very good - we ate in the bar the first night and the lobby the second. Would recommend the hotel for a stay.
The location was excellent. 5 minute drive from the Castle and Blarney Village.
Breakfast was perfect and filled us for the whole day!
Siobhan was the perfect hostess, extremely helpful with regards to places to eat in the evening and genuinely interested in us and our trip.
Will be back there again on our next trip to the area.
The location absolutely cannot be beat. Literally a 2min walk to the entrance to Blarney castle, so I was able to easily do the entire grounds in about 1.5hrs since most tourists hadn't even made it to the area that early. Facilities were very clean and it was actually not so noisy in my room (granted, I did get a 3rd floor room).
It was a lovely place to stay. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The food and service were excellent. The rooms were a great size, decorated, and fitted to a high standard.
The location was ideal next door to blarney Castle.
The local pub served nice food and a local bus arrived every half hour a short journey in to cork city.
Book early. So the suite of 2 bedrooms came available unexpectadly, so we were lucky. Hotels in cork were 400 for 1 night for one bedroom and we got 2 with à kitchionette. The beds are comfy, it has its own door, parking and the host vicky leàves you alone. Its close to a garage wìth hot food which opens at 6am in blarnèy
This has been my best stay in Ireland! Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this B&B. Defintly I will repeat. We will never miss this place! The services quality was truly exceptional. We talk more than 20minutes when we check-out, we make new friend! Don't think twice you will not disappointed
The staff were exceptional, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, food was delicious, breakfast was outstanding, live music and cold Guinness, the ultimate Ireland stay. Just across the road is the Blarney Castle so perfect for that experience, if we could give 11 out of ten, we would!
The rooms were clean, the staff was so friendly, and the hotel was in a lovely area…A few minutes walk to the Blarney Castle. Although they had Irish music both nights we were there, you couldn’t really hear it from the room so it wasn’t a problem. We would definitely stay there again.
Very clean and comfortable. I was traveling alone and felt safe. Convenient to town and perfect for being the first to arrive at Blarney Castle and skip the lines. A full hot breakfast is not offered but you can bring your own food and store.
Great directions to the property and how to get in. Very comfy beds, and nice decoration. Parking right in drive of property. Very close to Blarney town centre and great recommendation for dinner at the Castle hotel.
Host was very nice and relaxed. Place was very clean, comfy bed.
Complementary water in the fridge was lovely. Blarney village itself is walking distace (for dinner and/or visit to the castle)
