This was the holiday of a lifetime. A fantastic experience for all of us (2x 60+ somethings and 2x 20+ somethings). Carla and her entire team without exception were attentive, friendly, and each very interesting in their own individual way. From first impressions (the porter carrying a 25Kg suitcase from the landing boat up the beach to the hotel - on his head!!), through the welcome drink and Carla's very helpful introduction to island life, the food, and happy hour cocktails every day that you can set your watch by ready for the evenings activities along the beach (fire show, lots of excellent food, beach bars), will remain in our memories for a very long time - well at least until we return again!! The beach was a great blend of very clean, and lively enough to be interesting without overcrowding (the two weeks before Europe schools break for summer). So much to do too! We were here 8 nights and were busy right through, snorkelling with turtles, baby shaks (sic), little Nemo's and a whole host of other tropical fish. We were lucky enough to see, on two separate days, turtles come up the beach in front of the hotel to lay 100+ eggs (taken to a local sanctuary for hatching and release), and watch the mothers (Shirley Turts and Lily Shelby) make their way back to the water after dark. Amazing wildlife. A short day trip to Redang island was very worthwhile too - beautiful beaches. The boat boys (GreenBoys next to the hotel) were super helpful and friendly for all our excursions out to sea. We made a great number of ongoing social media friends on this trip. We used the spa on several occasions - June's massages were terrific after a long day in the sun and sea.

Situated on a quiet beach, Alunan Resort ALL INCLUSIVE offers modern and tranquil experience. Soak in Perhentians' only infinity pool overlooking a cliff. A truly amazing place with high focus on eco-marine life and sustainability initiatives such as avoiding use of plastic bottles etc. Beautiful views from rooms and the terrace and nice comfortable beds. We did the 3 point snorkelling tour, the Best of Perhentian and the full day tour and all 3 activities where really good and well organized and we say so many types of fish, turtles, baby sharks and beautiful nature. And the staff is very service-minded and helpful both in the reception, the restaurants and the activity center and you feel very welcome.

Staff is really friendly, the beach and coral just a few steps away, beautiful water, great snorkeling and swimming just out front, good restaurant and breakfast buffet. The staff can take care of transport and all of the activities, it's very convenient. We met the owner and he was extremely friendly. Wifi everywhere. You can relax and not do much or you can do a different activity everyday. This island is a rare gem, it's undeveloped and beautiful but developed just enough to be comfortable.

The view is magnificent same goes to the staff very friendly . This is my second time stays here . One thing for sure our room don’t have “ table “ at balcony even after we ask the receptionist . There are plenty of room unoccupied so why we didn’t get the table , we paid RM1300 in total for our stay you knoww not pay RM60 per night . In future property can add “ kettle “ in the room or just water dispenser at the main lobby is enough for guest to get the hot water during midnight.
