Situated in the heart of Polonnaruwa and overlooking the panoramic Parakrama Samudraya, The Lake House provides a peaceful getaway featuring elegantly furnished rooms and free internet access. Well, the room was fantastic with a back door to the lawn facing the lake and also table for lunch with unobstructed views of the lake. very friendly and very helpful staff. Nothing to complain about and they go out of their way to accomodate you.

Champa and her family are the most friendly and hospitable people we've stayed with in Sri Lanka, she cannot do enough for you, cooks delicious food and opens her home to you like family. Would return in a heartbeat.

The place looks great, the room is nothing luxurious but it is clea. the water preassure and hot water is extremely good. We had no chance to try the pool but it looked super nice and inviting. We really liked the small seating area with the colourful lights around at entering. Breakfast was good. The location is unbelievebly good. This place is well worth the money!
