The entire property is full of flowers and plants, all that green is just superb. The pool zone is incredible: huge palm trees all around and a large and cozy pool is all you can want after a hot day! The breakfast is good. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful: they arranged transfers to and from Sigiriya & Pollonaruwa and tuk-tuk rides to the Sigiriya rock. The hotel is located at around 2 km from the town, so it is a very peaceful and quiet area (at night, there are plenty of fireflies around). Do not hesitate to stay here if searching for an accommodation in Sigiriya!

You are really in nature. When checking in, the owner showed us an elephant footprint just next to our hut. One morning we saw a hornbill on the adjacent balcony. View from the balcony to Sigiriya Rock is amazing. Room is quite spacious for us to open three suitcases at the same time. There are mosquito nets on some of the windows to keep them open during the night. We were welcomed in style with tea and palm sugar based sweet. Chena Huts was the only place where we received such welcome. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful. Each room has stairs to go up to, the owner helped to bring our luggages to the room. They can also book elephant safaris, however they are conscious about conflict of interests with driver companies organizing a full tour. Make sure to clarify what is agreed and not agreed as part of your driver contract.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really well designed. The AC was working fine and there are plenty of contacts for charging. There are two big monkey families living on the nearby rock, so expect visitors. The house is lokated on 5 min walk from the buda temple and in the same time is away from the main Road. Dilshan is just great! He arranged our trip to sigiriya for a reasonable price, drove us around the city and explained to us everything we asked. His english is very good. He helped us arrange our transport to Kandy and even drove us to bus station for free. Highly recommend Staying in Girilena Resort. We had a great time and will deffinetly stay again on our next visit.
