In a secluded beachfront along Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, only an hour away from the capital, Anantara Kalutara Resort is a heavenly getaway with luxurious accommodation and inspirational... The property is amazing, huge area with all facilities inside. We got the ocean view room which was quite huge with a lovely view. The staff was super friendly and hospitable they made sure we had a comfortable stay. Food was tasty and good varierty. Relaxing atmosphere with all recreation activites inside. Liked the pool area and beach accessibility. One of the best properties in Sri Lanka i stayed at. Would definitely recommend for a family or couple getaway and would like to visit again.

Located in Kalutara, a few steps from Kalutara Beach, Lohas Beach Resort Villa provides accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking, pool with a view and an open-air bath. The breakfast was wonderful, served fresh everyday by Stanley at what ever time we wanted it. Omelette of my choice and Sri Lankan sausages followed by toast and marmalade. This was followed by a fresh fruit salad prepared by Stanley or Sisi ( Sisi is the owner). All served with a pot or two of Ceylon tea. Nothing was to much trouble for these two wonderful guys.

Royal Palms Hotel on muutaman askeleen päässä kauniilta Kalaturan rannalta, ja sen palveluihin kuuluu ulkouima-allas, ayurveda-spa ja 3 ravintolaa. I enjoyed the stay in this hotel a lot. Very big area with beautiful garden with lots of palm trees, nice swimming pool. Breakfast and all the food in all restaurants was amazing. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and supportive. I will be back for sure. They made my stay special.

A stunning beach, quiet, relaxing, beautiful pool, lovely room, good service, great facilities, railway station nearby for (very cheap) onward travel. Great value for money.

Built on 9 acres of gardens, AVANI Kalutara Resort (formerly Kani Lanka Resort and Spa) is located by the Kalu Ganga River. It offers an outdoor pool, a luxurious spa and free Wi-Fi. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It is a perfect relaxing and calming place, surrounded by nature, the sea on one side, the lake on the other, all in the middle of trees and flowers. The staff is amaaaazing, from the reception to the swimming pool service, the restaurant staff, and a special thank you to Mr Dinesh whose room service was just impeccable. Mr Dinesh is definetely the best room service provider i've ever encountered, and he is also a really pleasant individual :) And let's not forget the delicious food! Everyone at Avani is doing their best to make your stay wonderful. Finally, a bravo for the decorator of this hotel, flawless! I will come back for sure.
