Pickalbatros Villaggio Aqua Park - Portofino Marsa Alam er 4 stjörnu gististaður sem snýr að ströndinni í Marsa Alam City. Boðið er upp á ókeypis reiðhjól, útisundlaug og líkamsræktarstöð. Very good hotel on the beach. It is part of a big complex, the length of the beach walk is around 1km. Most part of the beach is with rocks, but there is also sandy beach which is good for kids near the big restaurant ( Soprano ). There is also a pier to the deep water, but it was mostly closed beacuse the wind. Beacuse of the big area there is a bus line between the reception and the big restaurant in every 20 minutes and sometimes a little sightseeing train also takes guests around the hotel. We had 3 reservations for different type of rooms and asked to be close to each other, they were able to give us rooms close to each other in higher standard rooms and we got those better rooms without additional charge. Late checkout also was not a problem. The staff is very polite and everybody speaks English. I liked that the staff starts to speak to us in English not in Russian. Also a good thing that it is enough to tell to the agents ( massage, trips etc ) 'no thanks' once. There are enough bars, we did not had to wait for the drinks. In some of the bars there is a drink list with some basic cocktails ( pina colada, mojito, long island etc ) included in the All incl plan, we have tried some and they were unexpectedly good. There are about 20 pools, some of them is heated, the water of the slides is already heated. There is a free usable wifi in the entire hotel. Very good for families with kids ( suitable beach, slides, 4 person bicycles, ice cream at snacks restaurant etc ). The food was good, there is enough selection.

One of the best things is the location of the hotel. The nature is still preserved in that area of the Red Sea and you can enjoy a very beautiful and preserved coral reef, and a lot of sea animals like turtles, beautiful fish and the famous sea cow (dugong). I saw everyday groups coming on boats close to the beach of the hotel just to observe the sea nature while the gusts of the hotel can enjoy it from early morning until sunset for free. The sea world there is simply amazing. I also loved the minimalistic design of the hotel which I found very tasteful. The colors and the spaces are very pleasant and beautiful. The hotel is brand new and it is well maintained by the staff. Everywhere is clean and smells good. The food is fresh, various and delicious. All the staff is very professional and kind. I want to thank especially Mohammed from the Scy Bar. He is a real professional and a very kind person. He prepares amazing drinks with a big smile. We really enjoyed going there every evening during the whole stay because of him. I want to thank as well Tamer and his collegues from the Lifeguards team. He is a very good and experienced diver and he kindly showed me the best snorkeling spots of the bay and gave me some precious advices. Because of him I could swim with the sea cow and other species. I also recommend the spa team. We did amazing massages. They are very good massage therapists. I want to thank as well the beach and main restaurant waiters who as well were very professional. Special thanks to Mohammed from the housekeeping team who made sure our room was perfect every day. You can pay all the additional services by credit card.
