Featuring a terrace, all units are air conditioned and have a dining area and a seating area with a satellite TV. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We simply liked everything. I contacted the owner through WeChat before and he helped organizing transportation from the airport to the hotel and was really kind in answering all kind of questions. When we arrived he arranged a group chat with his staff which was great for communication. The redone farmhouse is a beautiful estate at the foot of the mountains. It is 3.5 km away from the South East gate of the park which is a rather quiet entrance gate. They drove us to the gate every morning and picked us up when we wanted to come back from the park. The view of the estate is breathtaking, it is quiet, the kids could run around freely and we had lovely home cooked dinners on the terrace. The rooms are spacious, the beds are really comfortable and everyone was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is Chinese style. They provided fruits every morning and made the room every day! While we were there they started also building a new swimming pool which should be ready to use by July :)

For guests' convenience, free parking is available. The Valley Lodge is a super recovery spot after long days of nature and hiking. They gave us an upgrade to a better room with bathtub on the balcony - which was super cool! Rain always welcomed us at the entrance and helped us with booking tickets for the scenic areas and shuttles. The service was excellent! Also all the other staff was super friendly and attentive. In the evening they sang some Zhangjiajie Folksongs specially just for us. We loved it there and didn‘t want to go - you should stay there for at least 4-5 days to have enough time for the national park, mountains and enjoying the hotel! The food was also really good, especially the hot pot. They also gave us a little tea tasting and you can join some group events in the morning no matter if it is off-season or season time. The view from their heated infinitiy pool was breathtaking and you can easily recharge your energy there. The valley lodge is very close to the entrance for experience the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains and is less crowded than other entrance. We were tthere without a guide and could find everything very easy. Rain brought us directly there and helped us translating at the ticket counter. All over was it one of my best experience there in Zhangjiajie and you will never forget the great service and the breathtaking, amazing views of the national forest. (In 4 days we saw: Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, Baofeng Lake and the Glass Bridge)

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is 18 km from the resort, while Yuanjiajie is 1.5 km from the property. The nearest airport is Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, 35 km from Neodalle Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan. My stay was excellent. The room exceeded my expectations, in features and size. It was quiet and elegant. The breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. The staff tried hard and was very helpful, even though I did not speak Chinese. I used the laundry and the massage service, and both were excellent. I would choose to stay here again. The overall hotel was nicer than the listing presented.
