I had a weekend getaway (2 nights) to new forest retreat, shorefield Country Park, accompanied by my child and her mother. For the brief time we were there it was more than enough to gauge how relaxing or fun a time you could have if you are not pressed for time. Faciliies: A local shop that is open until 8 p.m. by the resorts main hub. There is a bar and restaurant, beyond which it was easy enough to order just eat or deliveroo for groceries/ takeaway. There is a small park on site, daytime activities(some cost), and evening shows (free) for children. There are also evening activities for adults. There are ample scenic walks, and guided tours. IF you DO NOT DRIVE, there is a bus that will take you to sandy beaches 30 minutes away, Bournemouth is just over an hour away on the same bus. They have an indoor, and outdoor(seasonal) pool, as well as a gym (mostly free with a pass). Environment: Time kind of drops dead when you are there! folk all around are extremely friendly, with a local couple having offered to walk us 10 minutes outside of their way to the nearest beach!! I couldn't imagine what it would be like if we had gone in the summer months, though it would probably border on idyllic. Specifics: The cabin that we stayed in was pristine, I haven't had a night's sleep like that in years for how comfy the beds and bedding were. Full gas central heating and hot water, gas oven and stove, cutlery, and all kitchenware you'd need. A TV in the main bedroom, and in the living room, where there was also a dvd player, dvds, and books. Comfy sofa, and brilliant little touches all around the property! Above that, our 'host'/the proprietor, angie, is the nicest person you could have the pleasure of talking to, they made us feel as though you were staying at at a relatives home, accommodating to the nines! Which in my opinion makes a holiday, or at very least completes it! Especially because of angie, my rating: 10 stars

Everything! We stayed in a beautiful large apartment which provided everything we needed. Loved the Antique furniture.

Lovely clean caravan with plenty of room for four people. Everything worked fine and the Wi-fi was reliable as well. We had a small issue with gas supply, but this was promptly dealt with. The site facilities were very good. We enjoyed the pool area for a swim and sauna etc. My friend said it was probably the best caravan and site he had stopped at. We enjoyed a coffee on the sunny decking outside the caravan. Wonderful.

The location was perfect for visiting the local area. Plenty of lovely dog Walks. We will hopefully be returning next year.

Lovely clean and new property, amazing lounge / kitchen area and bedrooms are well proportioned too. We liked the built in speakers too.

For a family of four with two small children it was perfect. The swimming pool was great, the location, the soft play and the accomodation. Excellent value. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Accommodation was very toasty. Perfect location for exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight. Cosy beds, well equipped kitchen and soft towels. Walking distance to the beach. We had a great stay in the depths of winter.
