Breakfast was excellent. Lovingly prepared and served by the owners with homemade bread and Swedish ostkacka. The owners are excellent hosts. The rooms are quiet, spacious and nicely furnished. There is even a living room and small cooking facilities, dishes and a refrigerator (for common use of the rooms in the annex). Everything including the bathroom is new and absolutely clean. The outdoor area is very spacious, with lots of seating and just beautiful, the lake is right next door. Children are welcome and have plenty of space.

Dating back to 1881, this family-owned hotel is located in central Västervik, right next to Västervik Train Station. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access and cable TV. Brilliant location. Room/cottage 17 was fantastic. Lovely place and close to the centre. Easy walk to restaurants and bars.

This early 1800s castle is 10 minutes’ drive from Västervik. It offers fine dining, free spa access and a private beach. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Everything was superb. The best spa we have ever used. Dinner excellent. Room fabulous with amazing view. Comfy bed and quiet rooms. Staff on reception made us so welcome and attended to our every need. Compliments to Jamie in restaurant and Veronica at reception.
