Beautiful Hotel surrounded by wine yard, the food was spectacular and of course the wine as well! We didnt find the menu prices expensive at all, since the quality was so good. Great attention from the staff, special thanks to Mr Julio, who attended us most of the time of our stay. We got a taxi recommended by the hotel, Mr Luis Vela, who did a great job and gave us a very fair price.

La Hacienda Bahia Paracas is located right by Paracas Bay and has panoramic ocean views. The comfortably, rustic rooms have private terraces where guests can enjoy the sunsets. Great hotel really, a gem in Paracas. They actually upgraded us for free, which was a very pleasant surprise. Service was phenomenal, staff were quick to respond and super friendly and helpful. Most were bilingual as well. Drinks from the restaurant made it to our room in about 5 minutes every time, they ordered our taxis, and always helped with luggage and opening the doors. Amazing pools, one is heated. The other pool is spacious but could use a deep end. The restaurant is amazing, food, desserts, and drinks were delicious and the waiters were attentive and friendly. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the massages at their spa so much the first time, we ended up scheduling some the following day. The spa in the suite was really nice as well, only recommendation would be slanting both side of the spa so a couple can really enjoy it together. Museum was also a lot nicer than we expected, history from all parts of Peru are there. Game area was a nice little area, ping pong, foosball, darts, and pool. They also have indoor rock climbing there (mostly for kids but adults can do it too). There is even a trampoline outside, my girlfriend and I are adults but still took a turn on that.

Ica is een stad waar naar mijn idee niet veel te doen is. Mensen gaan voor het plaatsje Huacachina wat aan Ica grenst. Dat is een "oase" in een enorm indrukwekkend zandlandschap. Voor toeristen een leuke plek om te bezoeken. Sandboarden, buggyride Door de zandbergen is erg aan te raden.

Ica is een niet toeristisch dorpje waar je dus heel goed rond kunt lopen en geen toeristen tegenkomen. Heel leuk om te zien hoe de Peruanen daar hun dagelijkse bezigheden hebben en ze het oprecht leuk vinden dat je bij hún restaurant komt eten. Erg aan te raden is een broodje met patat,een worstensoort en Mayonaise als ontbijt. Vanuit Ica kun je met een Taxi voor PEN 6 naar Huacachina (De zandduinen).

Ica als plaats is verschrikkelijk, een stad waar de vuilnis overal neergegooid wordt (en blijft liggen). Taxi's op zoek naar een passagier claxonneren je stapeldol! Het enige aantrekkelijke aan Ica is de oasis Huacachina, op 7 kilometer buiten de stad. De oase is een mooi plek om te zandsurfen of een ruige rit in een buggy te maken door de zandduinen (ga niet achterin zitten, je wordt alle kanten op geslingerd). Een bezoekje van een halve dag met 1 overnachting is genoeg.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you just go for the main tourist attractions, like the Ballestas island (a must-see), two or three days is plenty to visit Paracas, maybe four if you want to visit neighbouring Pisco, or Ica and Huacachina. But in Paracas they also offer kitesurf lessons and the weather is always good, so if you want a place to relax and hang out, you can easily spend more time here, like we did.

Pisco itself doesn't have so much to offer. For the city center one hour is enough to see everything. Also, the city didn't had a really nice vibe. However, as a base to explore the rest of the region, Pisco is a good place to stay. The area has a lot to offer with natural reserves like Paracas, Islas Ballestas and Huacachina. Furthermore, you can visit the city of Ica and the 'factories' where they make the famous Pisco wine.

Ica zelf is niet heel bijzonder.
Ica zelf is niet heel bijzonder. Huacachima heeft wel wat. We hebben daar met de buggy door de duinen gecrost, super vet en veel leuker dan ik verwacht had, het sandboarden was ook super gaaf! Verder zij zijn naar een wijnboerderij geweest, leuk om te zien en wijn te proeven!

Wir waren in Huacachina, 4 km von ica entfernt. Eine kleine Oase die ganz schön zwischen den Dünen liegt. Hier hat man alle Möglichkeiten: man kann den Dünen hoch wandern, sandboarden, mit quads fahren oder einfach nur chillen und genießen. Ein Besuch wert!

Sorry to say, but the only 2 things I liked about Ica was the duneride at Huacachina and the Pisco winnery Piskus.( bought 5 bottles of wine/pisco) Ica itself has small streets, everywhere cars, tuktuks and taxis, so Noisy and no clean air. 1 day was enough for us.

Was nog wel een verbouwing aan de gang maar met kleine stapjes, letten heel erg op of er gasten zijn en dus geen herrie of geluidsoverlast gehad. De eigenaresse was top, super lieve vrouw en heeft ons eten van haar moeders restaurantje naar het Hotel laten komen. Super lekker! Toen wij Paracas wilde verlaten reden er geen bussen meer en heeft ze een soort van busje weten te regelen die ons toch naar Ica heeft gebracht voor een euro duurder. Super lief en attent. Location was fabulous, enjoyed the view. Rooms were close to each other, however, each one had its private entrance really cute with flowers around the entrance. Pool is pretty big but I believe there should be a pool for kids only. We tried to swim but pool was full with kids. I don’t have an issue with that, just wanted to relax and enjoy the pool. Room was spacious and bed was about a 75% comfy. I just like my bed not to hard not to soft. Entertainment was fun . Noche con Criollo. Food/breakfast had a selection and loved the mini tamales. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The staff at San Agustín Paracas are always very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and the beauty is that each room, no matter what floor or position, you have a view of the pool and the bay. The hotel is close to the bus station and local amenities. Het bed lag erg goed, het was wat smal, maar wel lang genoeg. Daar hebben wij Nederlanders nog wel eens moeite mee. We hadden maar 1 handdoek gekregen, gelijk een extra gekregen toen ik weer bij de receptie stond. We konden in tegenstelling tot het inchecken, wel 's ochtends vroeg al uitchecken.
