If this is a 2-star hotel then 5-star hotels in Maputo must be mindblowing. Here's what I liked: - Daily cleaning with complimentary water every day - The room has AC, hot water, and a smart TV (I never used it) - The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a situation where I was being severely overcharged in the city. I called the hotel and they called someone nearby to come sort the bill - that was very thoughtful. - The location is near banks and some restaurants.

The hotel is located right next to the Cathedral of Maputo. WiFi connection was stable and good quality. Breakfast was included and had a variety of choices. The receptionist Mr. Ibraimo Lai was amazing: he was very professional and helpful. We booked a basic room, and we asked if he could assign a room at higher floor, and he ended up upgraded us to a suite room, which has the best view of the city. If one day we come back to Pestana Rovuma, he will be one of the factors.

Casa Quimera is a complete gem of a guest house in the heart of Maputo run by a retired couple who have renovated their home to create 5+ rooms to rent out to guests. This was the best possible way to be welcomed into Mozambique and we truly felt welcomed! They went above and beyond to accommodate guest needs and give local recommendations. They also provide (paid) transport from/to the airport. I cannot say enough about how lovely these hosts were! WOW.

The Hotel overall is fine and well located, but normally both the bread and the sweets like croissant or other types of sweets are from the day before and you can immediately feel the difference, because they are dry. In my view, this is unacceptable in Maputo in a very well managed hotel. In my last stay they had internet problems for three days, a bit too many for a hotel where people who visit Maputo for work normally stay.

The apartment was very clean & quiet. Sofia and Gina were very friendly. I highly recommend anyone taking a trip to Maputo to stay here. It is centrally located, close to major areas, fully equipped has all the add ons - Iron, washing machine, refridgerator. Sofia us to pleasant tourist attractions and a guide. She is a great host and kept checking in on us.

Forget standards for East Africa, this would be a great hostel anywhere in the world. Super clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great amenities and very safe and central location. Reliable hot water, but you probably wont use it with Maputo temps regularly over 30-35. Don't even bother looking for another place in Maputo, this is number 1 for a reason.

The apartment is all that was advertised and more. The hosts are amazingly receptive, and made it feel as though I was a long time friend returning for another visit. Had one of the best evenings in a long while enjoying the bay view catching the breeze on the patio. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxing and comfortable stay in Maputo

I stayed at Green House for one night before catching an early bus out of Maputo. The hotel has very basic facilities which were completely sufficient for my requirements. However, take note that (some of?) the rooms do not have their own bathroom - something I hadn't realized when booking! Nevertheless, the bathrooms were clean and the showers are large.

I loved staying at La Casa! The hotel is beautifully designed and the food is outstanding. The staff is super friendly and they helped me to organise all the transfers and even took me wherever I needed to go in Maputo. La Casa is located in beautiful area, close to the airport as well as city’s highlights. I definitely come again!

I am now a resident at this place. Whenever I'm in Maputo, I stay there, central location, clean and comfortable place, friendly staff, value for money. The breakfast could be better, but having been to several places in Mozambique I realize breakfast is not their strongest points. I'll come back again.

Great communication. Excellent honest bar with views. Owner gave us some much information to help us plan our trip and how to navigate Mozambique. He arranged our pick up and transport to our next location. He recommended a restaurant that was excellent. We are coming back here on our return through Maputo.

The Hotel is very well located and has an exceptional view. It is very quiet, no street noise whatsoever. The bed is very comfortable. The internet works perfectly. All the staff are really wonderful. I am looking forward to staying there again during my next trip to Maputo.

I strongly recommend Hotel Maputo to anyone who would like to visit Mozambique, especially for the 1st time because the place is close to many Tourist attractions,(walking distance)shopping center and also not that far from South Beach. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I had a fantastic stay at the Polana Plaza Hotel in Maputo! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel. The spacious room was a true delight, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

The Owner of the property Mr Benjamin was absolutely fantastic. Him as well as the staff were so accommodating. The hotel is on the beach and has marvelous view of Maputo. The Hotel and Food was exceptional.

Hotel is well run and the breakfast is excellent. It is very well located in central Maputo. It represented good value for money. The staff actually clean the pavement and the roadway outside the hotel.

Nice and stylish new Hotel which offers a good product for a great price in Maputo. Location is a bit out of the centre but still close enough to have access to most sides.

Great location for a stop over in Maputo before we headed up North in Mozambique. Breakfast was early to allow us to get going, great food for a good breakfast.
