Tranquil, lush gardens full of a variety of birds, including toucans. Beautiful and accommodating hosts who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a pleasurable stay. Super close to town, short walk to restaurants but the property was so quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts arranged transport for us and also took us to lesser known local places. Breakfast was delicious. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we were to return. Thank you il frangipane

The place is really nice and the owner is very welcoming. He was available and gave great insight on what activities we should do. He spotted our traveler profile and advised us accordingly. At the hotel, you can grab some bikes and there is a cool trail around the nearby lake... The room was clean, bigger than expected, and comfortable. The food was good and they bake their berad onsite etc... You can't go wrong there.

On a month long trip to Sri Lanka, filled with beautiful places and accommodations - the Cottage holds a special place in my heart. We spent two amazing days here, and later in our trip we decided to go back for 5 more. From the kindness of the staff, the excellent hospitality, the pool that was somehow always the right temperature, the location in nature and all of the life that surrounds it - we had a perfect stay. The gentleman that cares for the plants, pool and grounds works all day making sure the place looks great and the pool is always clean. The chef makes great food, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. The location is a short bike ride from town, or if you have your own tuktuk as we did it’s about a 5 minute ride. It’s in the midst of the jungle. In our days there we had encounters with every type of bird in Sri Lanka. Monkeys of all varieties. Even Elephants. The near by lake, which you will drive by the signed path to, is a must at sunrise. Walking further down the road into the farmers fields (stay on the road, don’t walk on their crops) will yield incredible sunsets with peacocks calling in the background and a clear view of lions rock. Bungalows are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We will most certainly return here in the future and highly recommend it to others. There is more to see in Sigiriya than you think, and a couple of days at the cottage is a great base to explore and relax. Mama, the local dog running around is very sweet. If you’re a dog loving traveler as I am - take care of her and show her some love. She’ll keep the monkeys off your tuktuk 😉

Located in Dambulla, 11 miles from Sigiriya Rock, Black Mustang Hotel provides accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Dilshan was fantastic with helping with anything I needed from dinner to getting a tuk tuk. It's away from the main road which means it's quiet and relaxed but also only a 3min tuk tuk ride away. AC was great!

In the middle of a jungle so close to nature with so many butterflies. Stuff are so cool and kind, will help you in anything. Rooms are clean and comfy. Good breakfast also. It was very beautiful place, the location is near to everything, and such a nice view to Sigirya Rock. Malidu our host he was very friendly and gave us great services and recommendations!

We loved the outdoor spaces, the pool and the jacuzzi as well as the food they offer! amazing place to stay if you're visiting Sigiriya and doing a safari tour. Manolo was very helpful and helped us get tuk tuk rides and made our stay very easy!

Evergreen located 3.1 mi from Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, and 6.2 mi to sigiriya rock. The property features free Wi-Fi access, free private parking and free transportation from Hotel to Dambulla. It's a gem! I couldn't believe my eyes that you could stay in something so beautiful as this villa for such little money. The location in Dambulla is convenient for visiting the temple in Dambulla and for hiking Pidurangala Rock. There is an open roof in the villa where you can see the stars on a clear night. The family who runs the villa is very nice and their daughter is a cuttie!

Welcome to our peaceful Nature Villa, nestled just a short distance from the majestic Lion Rock, only 0.6 mi away. Wonderfull property. Super friendly staff. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were amazing and beyond expectations.
