Situated in Nikko, 1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Shinkyo Inn features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a bar. Its hard to overstate how wonderful this place is. Truly the best place I stayed in during my whole time in Japan. Its right on the river so you spend the nights with the sound of water (but the windows are soundproof so if that bothers you, just close them), breakfast on the veranda was just the best start to the day! To top it off the food was delicious! The tub in the bathroom was just phenomenal really, opening the window made it feel like you were right on the water. Location was also super great, right opposite Shinkyo bridge with all the temples and shrines a very short walk away. Great bus connections is going towards Chuzenji or even the train station but more than anything, the best part about this stay were the hosts, they were beyond helpful helping us navigate to the inn and suggesting things to do in the area. If I ever come back to japan, Im coming here again for sure!
