Taketomijima Akaneya is located in Taketomi. The accommodation features traditional Okinawan red tile roofs and traditional Taketomi-style decor and amenities made from local woods and grass. Very close to the main beaches and to town, beautiful Japanese-style rooms and king-size bathroom. Very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Situated in Iriomote, 400 metres from Tsuki-ga-hama Beach, Mayagusuku Resort features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

Beautiful location right beside a beach. Friendly and helpful staff, and the owner speaks good English. Delicious meals of local cuisine. A very cozy place to stay.

Located in Iriomote, 100 metres from Tsuki-ga-hama Beach, Ilmare Unarizaki provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Amazing view from the window on the sea, which was one of the main reason for me to stay in that hotel. I love that area. The building is a bit old and far away from the port (Uehara) (45 min walk) and restaurants. There is a bus running 4 times a day; otherwise the best option is to rent a car, there is no place to rent a bicycle, the closest in Uehara, no electric bicycles; no stores around to buy food. Wonderful park nearby to watch sunsets and a beach with star-shape sand (hoshizuna beach). Very nice staff.

Free Wifi is available at the lobby. the staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. the pick-up service from the port was also great. i loved that they booked tours for you at the hotel so you didn't need to go elsewhere for assistance. the breakfast and dinner had many nice options.
