This part of Mayo doesn't seem to be too busy/touristy, so you can enjoy the landscape during a nice hike or a day at the beach.

The hotel was very nice and the room itself was wonderful, clean and well furnished. The pub that is a part of the hotel was great, with really good live music, a great atmosphere and terrific pub food. The location was amazing - Cong is a very picturesque village and the ruins of the monastery are only a two minute walk from the hotel. Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough, we will certainly return in the future!

With a swimming pool and gym, the historic Breaffy House Resort is situated in 101 acres of woodland estate. Located just outside Castlebar, it is less than 5 minutes’ drive from the town centre. Love staying at breaffy woods. Have stayed a few times and it’s really family friendly when taking the kids or perfect for a weekend away with the partner.
