The entire property will sweep you off your feet! Amazing history, great attention to details and an overall atmosphere like in a fairytales. We were accommodated in one if the Mews Cottages and it was just charming!

Situated in Amesbury, in scenic Wiltshire, The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire is a 5-minute drive from Stonehenge. Old fashioned decor, very warm and atmospheric, the restaurant especially is great for food and drinks with friends. The staff is utterly amazing, attentive, professional, solicitous and able to do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and cared for. I had to check out super early and required a taxi at the crack of dawn(forgot to book ahead, too), and the amazing lady at the reception called every taxi driver in the area to find me a ride to the train station. Highly recommend and will be back time and again. I also found the beds supremely comfortable- the pillows were fluffed up like clouds and sleeping was like nestling up in a dreamscape of perfect tranquility. Thanks for everything!

In the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, this traditional country inn offers stylish and attractive accommodation; Michelin-recommended food; and peaceful, tranquil surroundings for a relaxing or... the room was amazing, cared for in every detail. the breakfast was great and the staff really kind and friendly. everything was perfect and we managed to enjoy a very traditional english pub atmosphere. i definitely reccomend to stay here if you are nearby. or anyhow it still worth to trip to get there
