Situated in Adelaide and with Adelaide Convention Centre reachable within 400 metres, Eos by SkyCity features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi throughout the property and... This was a near perfect hotel experience. From letting us keep our bags there whilst we flew to Alice Springs for 3 days to the seamlessness of just actually staying there, it was all excellent. The location is great for both the city and the river. We had a river view room and the view over the Oval, Festival theatre and the river was stunning. I didn't book a room with a balcony as we find we don't use them, but this time I wished that I had done. The bed was comfortable, there were complimentary snacks and a bottle of wine for my birthday arranged by the wonderful concierge, Lavinia. I loved the iPad to control the room and anything else that you needed for your stay. The staff were good without being too obsequious; when the remote broke, we had a new one within 30 mins and a sorry for putting us through that! The casino was huge but didn't impact on our stay, and the bar and restaurant were fab! The mixologist made me the best Cosmopolitan even though it wasn't on the menu. This was also the first hotel to have both a rubbish bin and a recycling bin.

Peninsula Hotel Motel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a restaurant and bar in Adelaide. Absolutely lovely place. Clean, bright, good location to train station, which ran straight into Adelaide CBD. Also Largs, which is a beautiful beach. The pool was heated, and the gym was neat and all in working order. The bar is lovely, big and friendly staff. All the staff are so friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were huge, and felt very new. Good amount of tea and coffee supplied. Fridge was a good size. Extra pool towels were supplied. The bed was huge and very comfortable. TV in the room was also big. I would recommend this place.

Boasting a terrace, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Tanunda Club Guest Suites is set in Tanunda, 42 km from Big Rocking Horse and 42 km from My Money House Oval. The hotel has family rooms. Location, location, location: We had looked for a combination of hotel and winery in walking distance to each other, and this one ticked all the boxes: you can easily walk over to Chateau Tanunda in about 15mins (and others are walkable too, if you don't mind walking 30-40mins). The hotel is part of a pub/restaurant - but the rooms are really surprising: completely new, with a rain shower, quite spacious and quiet (this being a Monday maybe, could be louder on a Friday evening). We also enjoyed the restaurant and a glass of wine on the front porch. There's ample parking in the back. Didn't see any breakfast options, but this was rare on our trip anyways - there's a bakery nearby to help you out.
