Eclectic little cluster of 4 chalets well maintained right outside of Tanaka (short 1 km walk on paved trail into town). Wonderful, welcoming owners who see after everything with great detail. Originally booked here because Kaiteriteri over the hill had nothing left, but would stay in Golden Bay again in heart beat. Nice drive to Totaranui on easy gravel road to take water taxi to Abel Tasman.

Very helpful receptionist who was very understanding when our friends had mistakenly booked for the wrong month. Gave advice about alternative places.. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable.

The motel manager accommodated well for our late arrival and organized breakfasts for us for our early departure the following morning. The communication was quick and helpful. The motel rooms are spotless, clean, and well taken care of. Our stay was a pleasant surprise.

El Golden Bay Motel, situado a solo 5 minutos a pie de tiendas y restaurantes en Takaka, ofrece un parque infantil y aparcamiento gratuito. It was spacious at ground floor level, with a high decking type balcony overlooking a slope away garden down to a wooded tree area, very private. It was very modern inside with ample kitchenware and good cooking facilities.

The Station House Motel está situado a solo 2 minutos a pie de la playa, en la tranquila localidad de Golden Bay de Collingwood. This accommodation , as a base, gave us the flexibility to explore this beautiful areas..so much to see. After a great day out, it was relaxing to enjoy the lovely garden setting at the motel before popping minutes away to the local pub for dinner
