Sturdy's Castles hotel is situated in a separate building behind the main pub. The accommodation is split over two levels, unfortunately there is not a lift to the second floor.
The staff are friendly, helpful and engaging and a massive asset to Sturdy’s Castle.
The breakfast and evening meals are top quality.

Fantastic hotel! Love the 'motel' feel and the staff were fantastic. They were so pleasant and friendly. The room had everything we needed, very comfortable and loved the addition of the hairdryer and straighteners. We loved it here and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. The whole place was very welcoming and cute! The diner was lovely too and even gave us free drinks as we were celebrating our anniversary.

This was a budget hotel which is to say that it was low price but well worth the money. Excellent stay for lone travellers and short bus ride to the town centre. Free parking on-site.

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. All needs in bedroom met - comfortable bed, power sockets, hot drinks and biscuit, very good shower, reasonable space, quiet… Breakfast was fine, not 5* but good range of food, good coffee - hosts had made an effort. Free parking!! Walking distance to city centre, nice café and pub 5 min away.

very spacious and comfortable apartment. Well eqpuipped. has cooker. microwave, oven, kettle. good fridge freezer. good coffee maker. beds and pillows were great. keys easy to collect from the box outside the door. clear instructions via email to access the property. free parking was a bonus. spacious lounge cum dining room with a small seating area at the back. Close to the hospitals. Sainsbury and Tesco within a 5-8 min drive. bus stop nearby in to the city and the hospitals.
