Julie made checking in a breeze. She was delightful and excited for our stay with suggestions of what to all see along with some "must see" options. She was so sweet in giving directions for excursions and referred back to the hotel as "Home!" I appreciated that touch. ;)

The ice machine is fantastic in that it has a scoop but completely unsanitary by having the scoop left in the bin. That's a huge no-no in any kind of institution and one hopes the dept of public health ignores a small motel when doing inspections. For just filling coolers it's fine but some people like to make mixed drinks and I would avoid that. The cleaning staff was extremely friendly and the younger guy that works in the office was really nice.MMATTFamily with young children

The room was both comfortable and charming, and the river side location was beautiful. The staff was helpful, it was easy to do a quick load of laundry on premises. Also 15 stairs to the 2nd floor ... no elevator. Rooms okay .... just the basics. The motel is located just as you enter Ouray ... the city is about a 1 mile up the hill ... which is a better location for shops and restaurants ... but the city motels cost more. The hosts .... Brian and Julie were excellent ... but they were the best part about the motel.

Because of Covid, they weren't able to provide a communal breakfast. Instead, they gave us a breakfast bag - breakfast sandwich/yogurt/fruit. Coffee and juice were provided in the office area. We would certainly recommend this motel for anyone - we loved it!

There is a restaurant with the motel where you could order food to be served outside by the pool or at your room. There is a large breakfast room.
