Rob and Susie greeted us as well as Biscuit and Coco the dogs with open arms which made us feel at home straight away. We stayed in the villa which was beautiful just a nice amount of space and the beds were the best by far having slept in 14 different accommodations on our journey around New Zealand. Rob and Susie are enthusiastic about local produce, Rob is passionate about the local wines that is produced from down the road and Susie grows fruit and vegetables on site. We had 2 evening meals which I highly recommend from plot to plate which was truly amazing and so tasty.

Wonderful little place. Beautiful setting. Sufficiently close to Upper Hutt but far enough to feel in the countryside. Warm, cosy and fully kitted out.

Das Wharekauhau Country Estate liegt auf einem 3 Hektar großen Grundstück gegenüber dem Ocean Beach und bietet ein Day Spa, einen Tennisplatz und einen Außenpool. We felt absolutely spoiled. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.

It's located on a quiet hillside overlooking from where the Picton ferry sails from. Our room was extremely comfortable, cosy and well equipped with a lovely bathroom, which included a fabulous bath. Lou and Chris, the hosts, are a lovely couple who could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a delicious healthy breakfast each day of our stay, and enjoyed chatting to Lou & Chris over a cup of tea. This is a brilliant place to stay if you're going to catch the ferry to the South Island as it's only a short drive from here. Wellington is a fabulous city and you'll be pushed to find a better place to stay than Harbour Lodge. Highly recommended !

We loved the accommodation, the friendly staff. Sean was extremely helpful with very thing and hope to stay there again when we come back to NZ. Thank u very much.
