Beautiful spot, modern decor, short drive to Mt Taranaki viewing area. Grounds spacious and well maintained. Spa bath was a bonus. Host was lovely. We loved our short stay.

Patuha Rainforest Retreat is nestled in a native rainforest, between Kaitake and Pouakai Ranges. It offers free WiFi, parking and a mezzanine-floor lounge with a pool table. The property is adjacent to Pukeiti Rhododendron Gardens and a 30-minute drive from New Plymouth.

The refurbished lounge and dining area has a licensed bar located next to the fireplace. Beautiful location in native bush, it was so quiet and restful enjoyed the small bush walks. The proprietor was warm and friendly. Lovely continental breakfast and great French pressed coffee. We sharpened our pool playing skills. Perfect place for R&R, a small family gathering (10 double rooms approx) a French chef is available to cater for larger groups by prior arrangement. We will definitely be back.
