Beautiful view, surrounded by nature, felt secluded even though the road is about 20 feet above the roof level. Noise not a problem. Good amenities.

The staff provided exceptional guidance so that we could take stunning views of the mountains during sunset. Very high quality breakfast. Overall, exceeded my expectations in this rather remote/resource limited (to a city person at least) location.

Situated near Mangaweka, Mairenui Rural Retreat features a garden, barbecue, and sun terrace. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site. Sue and David were excellent hosts and made me feel at home. Breakfast was exceptional with so much to choose from and lots of it homemade. Lovely setting and historic place
