Boasting a terrace and room service, Hare's Rest is attractively set in Taupo, 31 km from Orakei Korako Cave and Thermal Park and 31 km from Orakei Korako - The Hidden Valley. We planned a short girls trip to Taupo with my pet dog. The accommodation was absolutely lovely, despite the bad weather. It was warm and cosy, the hosts were extremely nice. Would certainly recommend staying here multiple days to fully enjoy and relax. My dog was in heaven, huge grounds to run around and play in - one of the best pet friendly accommodations we've stayed in

Featuring an on-site tennis court, The Flying Trout Boutique Lodge is located in Taupo. Each spacious suites offers elegant décor and some provide views of the surrounding alpine area. What a wonderful experience. We loved everything about this place, The food, the hosts and the fabulous view! Exceptionally comfortable place. Well done Roband Karen!

Set in Mapara Valley, adjacent to the stunning Whakaipo Bay Reserve on Lake Taupo, Whakaipo Lodge offers guests free WiFi. Whakaipo Lodge was a superb place to stay in every way. The owners, Garth & Angie went beyond the call to make our stay memorable & easy to highly recommend from the welcome, to the pre dinner drinks & canapes, the sharing of local knowledge & the beautifully presented, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was 10/10 using locally sourced high quality products. The coffee also got a gold star.

Wonderful, attentive staff. Excellent meals and catering to individual tastes. Beautiful dining experiences for breakfast, lunch and / or dinner. Top class.

The Point Villas are situated in a private estate overlooking the blue waters of Lake Taupo, just 10 minutes’ drive from Taupo town centre. Each villa has its own private mineral heated swimming pool.... Bathrooms were amazing as well as the outdoor entertainment area.

The award-winning River Birches offers secluded, comfort and understated luxury accommodation, set within peaceful gardens on the banks of the Tongariro River. Breakfast was decadent at this gorgeous property.

This luxury lodge has a quiet location and wonderful views of Lake Taupo and Mount Tauhara. It offers free WiFi and large gardens. Absolutely superb property; excellent hosts; great breakfast. Nothing could be faulted.

Located in Turangi, 48 km from Mount Ruapehu, and Taranaki Falls reachable within 48 km, Turangi Leisure Lodge offers a terrace, a spa and wellness centre and free WiFi. Clean, comfortable & a most helpful staff. The rooms appear to have been recently upgraded from what looks like an older building structure on the outside. The exterior grounds were under construction for renovation while we were there, but we were very happy with our overall stay. The hotel is only a 20 minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing Car Park.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. Cleanliness. Cozy and warm. Comfy bed.

Offering views of Lake Taupo and a free full breakfast prepared by a chef, Lake Taupo Lodge provides a relaxing retreat. The Lodge is absolutely lovely, incredibly comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful ensuite wiht bath tub that has views, grounds are beautiful. the entire team is freindly, helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.
