Such a beautiful, natural and convenient location. It was also very private! We were greeted by the alpacas upon arrival and Amir was an amazing host! he even provided us with firewood to make a gorgeous fire at night. He was very responsive to our messages as well - a lovely host who gave us so many local tips and tricks. We will be coming back again! Highly recommend this unique spot, perfect for couples!

Wairua Lodge is set in a wonderfully secluded spot in the rainforest, where peace and quiet is the order of the day. The hosts are very friendly, presenting us with home baked bread and supplies for our breakfasts on arrival, helpful and respectful. This is a place where you can have as much physical activity and/or relaxation activity with relaxing spa, tree top bath, swim in the swimming holes and hikes for all abilities. You do need to bring some cooking supplies for main meals which can be prepared on the BBQ or in the resort kitchen.

The tui lodge is definitely one of the best places we have stayed so far. Simple, clean, quiet, affordable. Although the place has quite a few rooms, it never felt busy. You have 2 kitchens and several toilets around the area. It never gave me the "hostel impresion". Frances has a beautiful dog too! Her name is Nala, we love heeer! During a rainy day she also gave us some recommendations to hand around and to eat.. great!!!!
