Beautiful location with exceptional rooms, spaces and the most helpful and friendly staff out of all the places I stayed. Amazing food and ambiance. Contemporary and eclectic. 10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door. We stayed in the the Elva cabin which was delightful- cozy, comfortable, spacious and well thought out. the expansive windows gave us a relaxing view into the forest and the thrill of seeing dogs run by from time to time. Upstairs was a lovely nook. We ate every dinner on site (country style x2, fine dining x1) and the quality of food and service was exceptional. Really top notch. Johnny (Trasti) is highly visible and involved and really cares about his guests and makes everyone feel valued. Breakfast was great and lasted until 10, which allowed us to sleep in a bit. We also had pizza on Friday night and picked up things from the bakery on Saturday. the baked good were some of the best we’ve had. We loved our dog sledding as well- so much fun and incredibly lucky we got to go with Trine! What an experience! We wish we had booked another trip and also wished we had stayed longer. Huge perk as well was being able to visit the dogs throughout the day, even if not dog sledding. We will definitely be back. would recommend renting a car. taxis are very expensive and limited. It’s really easy to drive around and having a car gives you options to explore (like we did) things around the area.

Aera - Glass cabins features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Tromsø, 25 km from The Arctic Cathedral. It is a great location to see the Northern Lights. The cabins are clean, comfortable and warm. We enjoyed the dinner in lavvu. The meal was tasty. The staff was very friendly.
