Eduardo and his Family were very kind and helped out with anything I needed. The place is very peaceful and in the middle of nature. It’s a little bit outside of the village - I recommend a car to get around. I recommend the typical breakfast, which was delicious and also dinner was a delight.

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

The setting is absolutely incredible! Views for miles - out to the cloud forest beyond! The property has nice, rugged trails that let me feel like I was in the wild, yet safe to walk alone exploring the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Jay’s guided night hike wowed us and inspired my 12 year old daughter, Ophelia, to emulate his trained techniques. She continued to observe and listen carefully for the distinct sounds of various creatures for the remaining weeks of our Costa Rica trip…. and sure enough, spotted a bunch! The Toucan lodge was adorable and comfortable. I loved sleeping in the dense darkness listening to the nocturnal activities of the rainforest! The meals and juices were delicious - like “Is there any more more of THAT?” delicious! The hammocks, the mirador, the trails, song birds, the colors- oh, the colors!- the love and joy that abounds at Cecropia is very special. Jay and Nohe are beautiful souls. I am so happy I stayed at Cecropia Lodge and was able to support their environmental project.

Situated in Fortuna, 14 km from La Fortuna Waterfall and 7.5 km from Kalambu Hot Springs, Las Pavitas Cottages features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and mountain views. first there is the view. Once the sky clears up you have a fantastic view on the volcano. we only stayed for one night but we wouldn’t want to leave in the morning trying to stay as long as possible. couldn’t get away from all the hummingbird action. the communication with our host was all via app but super responsive and stressfree. I personally like it when I have someone to talk to in person but I totally understand if this is not always possible. And as I said: I always got an immediate response. I would totally recommend this cabin which was well equipped and spotless clean. And by the way: the view is the same (or maybe even better because higher up) as at the resort furrher down the road where you‘ll pay ten times as much and have to share it with other guests 😀

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. The staff was very polite and made us feel welcomed attending us at our arrival and also at the restaurant. Additionally, Ronald at the reception gave us recommendations regarding main attractions in the area with allowed us to make good choices.

This eco lodge is located 1 km from the Arenal Volcano and 2 km from hot springs. It features an extensive garden, tours and outdoor activities arrangement and free Wi-Fi throughout. Everything. My plan behind staying at this property was to be in contact with nature and more specifically, to take the night tour and see snakes. We saw 6 snakes in total, plus a bunch of other animals (frogs, insects, spiders, etc…). Besides that, things that were great: staff was great, they gave us a better room than the one we got, wifi was actually great, breakfast was awesome, and the accommodation is not far from Downtown La Fortuna.

Flora Glamping de Abuela has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Fortuna, 1.1 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. One of the nicest accommodations we stayed at during our trip. The view is spectacular and you can see volcano directly from the bed!

Featuring mountain views, Casa Torre Eco- Lodge in Fortuna features accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and barbecue facilities. The view is amazing , the restaurant was good and the common area was good fun to make tea and coffee or play cards.
