El Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa, rodeado de 348 hectáreas privadas de bosque tropical, se encuentra emplazado dentro del área de conservación de Arenal, a solo 2,7 km del volcán Arenal, y dispone de... Me encantó las vistas que tiene, los animalitos que se pasean por los sendros y las aves que pueden observarse a toda hora. Me encantó el servicio en el restaurante, todos muy amables, atentos, muy delicioso y a un super precio!

El Onca Tours & Tree houses se encuentra en San Rafael y ofrece vistas al jardín, restaurante y room service. The hosts welcomed us very warmly and helped us with booking our tours to Rio Celeste and Cano Negro (which we had with Juan Rio - one of the nicest tour guides we‘ve ever had!). The tree houses are just amazing and inmidst of nature. We‘ve got the chance to hear and see jungle‘s wildlife and you even have the option to swim in the Rio Celeste near the accomodation for free! Also big thanks to Odir, who offered us a free ride at his new opened adventure park! We would recommend everyone to stay at the Katira tree houses, when visiting Rio Celeste!

El alojamiento se encuentra en Fortuna, en la región de Alajuela, a 10 km de la cascada de La Fortuna. Eduardo and his Family were very kind and helped out with anything I needed. The place is very peaceful and in the middle of nature. It’s a little bit outside of the village - I recommend a car to get around. I recommend the typical breakfast, which was delicious and also dinner was a delight.

Las Cabañas Sueños del Arenal se encuentran a 6 km de la cascada de La Fortuna y ofrecen jardín, terraza y alojamiento con aire acondicionado, patio y wifi gratis. The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

El Cecropia Ecolodge se encuentra en Fortuna, ofrece vistas al jardín y alberga un restaurante, un salón compartido, un jardín, una zona de parrilla y una terraza. Everything! The setting is absolutely incredible! Views for miles - out to the cloud forest beyond! The property has nice, rugged trails that let me feel like I was in the wild, yet safe to walk alone exploring the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Jay’s guided night hike wowed us and inspired my 12 year old daughter, Ophelia, to emulate his trained techniques. She continued to observe and listen carefully for the distinct sounds of various creatures for the remaining weeks of our Costa Rica trip…. and sure enough, spotted a bunch! The Toucan lodge was adorable and comfortable. I loved sleeping in the dense darkness listening to the nocturnal activities of the rainforest! The meals and juices were delicious - like “Is there any more more of THAT?” delicious! The hammocks, the mirador, the trails, song birds, the colors- oh, the colors!- the love and joy that abounds at Cecropia is very special. Jay and Nohe are beautiful souls. I am so happy I stayed at Cecropia Lodge and was able to support their environmental project.

Las Pavitas Cottages se encuentra a 14 km de la cascada de La Fortuna y ofrece jardín, terraza y alojamiento con aire acondicionado, balcón y wifi gratis. La ubicación espléndida, una vista espectacular del volcán, la seguridad, un jardin verde con mucho espacio entre las cabinas, pura naturaleza.

El Boca Tapada Lodge se encuentra en Boca Tapada, a 43 km de Florida, y ofrece restaurante y wifi gratis. Todos los alojamientos tienen aire acondicionado y zona de estar y/o de comedor. Excellent service. The rooms are perfect and comfortable with a nice view of the river. Great breakfast. And a paradise for birdwatching. Macaws and many more. Augusto is a great host, and the owner, Alfonso, and his family will make you feel at home.

La Finca Lodge se encuentra en Fortuna, a 35 km de la catarata La Fortuna, y ofrece una pileta al aire libre y bañera de hidromasaje. Hay conexión wifi gratis. The staff was very polite and made us feel welcomed attending us at our arrival and also at the restaurant. Additionally, Ronald at the reception gave us recommendations regarding main attractions in the area with allowed us to make good choices.

La Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge ofrece una granja de cacao de 60 hectáreas, donde los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de visitas guiadas, probar chocolate y observar aves. It is indeed one of our best stay during a 3 weeks travel in Costa Rica. It has all - beautiful, very comfortably equiped houses, perfect restaurant, amazing cacao field surroundings, wonderful nature and birds, great people, very interesting tours and a relaxing little spa. On top of all this - it has a perfect location, close to Rio Celeste (Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio). Our huge thanks to all great team, who makes it happen!
