Tall Trees Eco Retreat offers private cabins on the edge of the rain forest just 11km from Apollo Bay. Cabins feature a balcony, BBQ and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Such an amazing place to stay!! It looks great in photos but absolutely blew us away in person. Such a beautiful setting, so relaxing and peaceful. We loved feeding the birds and watching the alpacas graze. We also loved using the barbecue and cooking in the kitchen.

We loved the wood fire for that peaceful atmosphere and warmth, the tennis court was right next to our cottage, we had fun teaching our 4 year old how to play. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good. The shower pressure and temperature was amazing. Something you don't get with modern showers anymore. There is a closed yard so we didn't have to worry about the kids wandering off.

Home to wildlife such as kangaroos and native birds, Lorne Bush House Cottages & Eco Retreats are only a 3-minute drive from the Great Ocean Road. The location and immediacy to nature were amazing. It was a very cool mix between camping and glamping that my partner and I enjoyed - we don’t do very hardcore camping, so this was a perfect balance. Also the hosts were incredible and communicative and were able to put the heater and heated blankets on early for us as we were arriving late in the evening - it made all the difference to arrive to a warm tent when it was a bit chilly out.
