This is a fantastic way to see wildlife in a remote jungle setting -- a former research station run by Pedro, a very knowledgeable and welcoming host. Pedro led us on a night hike and a day hike, where we saw monkeys, frogs, and a fantastic variety of birds.

Hotel was exactly as described . An oasis in the rainforest. However what made our stay was the prompt help from staff when i twisted my ankle and they arranged for a doctor. There’s nothing more telling about a place than how they deal with things going wrong. So grateful for every they did .

The staff were great, restaurant prices reasonable (and the seafood rice delicious) and access to the reserve was amazing. We went three times a day and saw different things each time.

The night walk was wonderful, we saw snakes, spiders and a lot of frogs. The blue jeans frog was stunning and we hosted some bats in our lodge too! Food was plentiful and delicious, we wish we could have stayed longer

Each hut has about 6 rooms inside, and the rooms are decorated with indigenous artwork. Each room has its own seating outside. The grounds are beautiful and very interesting to explore, set amidst an archeological site. The restaurant serves delicious food and has lovely open views. The on-site infinity pool is stunning. The lodge is next to a rainforest nature reserve with a river and hanging bridges. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.MargaretFamily with young children

You can get close by your own car, but the last kilometers you need the transport offered by the lodge. Some real jungle trails around the lodge, you should use the rubber boots.

The breakfast was very nice, although on the smaller side. The grounds are wonderful for seeing the wildlife both in the day time and at night. We had howler monkeys hanging out by the parking lot, sloth and her baby close by, great green macaws visiting daily, dart frogs, iguanas, basilisk, unbelievable number of species of bids and more

The focus on preservation and education is exemplary. The rooms are basic but comfortable overlooking the forest. Saw many birds around the paths leading to the lodge and on the walks in the reserve.
