Excellent location, beautiful view and pretty private. Staff was very prompt when we asked them to look at the AC. They set up our taxi to the airport on departure day. Very friendly when around, but did not come around unless asked to. Loved the kitchen, deck, hammocks. 2 AC units, my friends like it colder than I, this way we were all happy.

The locatio is supreme. We stayed at room no. 5, so we also had a little plunge pool on the deck looking over the drake bay and cool ourselves. Feels like coming home - Shirley and Claudio make you feel welcome and relax in minutes. The location is top - leaving the boat from Sierpe and you are in front of the entrance, still no boat noise/smell, long lonely beach in front, playground that can be seen over from the great hotel restaurant terrace - the food is with no doubt the best in Southern Costa Rica (Italian cousine following Claudios roots). View from bungalow terrace is spectaculous - animals all around you plus you can take the hotel private path up to the hotel lookout to oversee the bay and wildlife. We felt so comfy that we extended our stay immediately after arrival.

The cabins are simple but clean and appointed very nicely. The breakfast was an abundance of fresh fruits, eggs, and bread. The place is family owned and I can see the hard work that they have put into the cabins. They are located very close to the beach so you will hear the ocean waves as you sleep. They are a short drive away from Drake's Bay but to not stay in tourist central is so worth it.

There is also a large living room with kitchen, outdoor gardens, forest trails and natural pools. To get here there are 6 river crossings and therefore, if you arrive by your own car it must be a 4x4 and tall. We have research projects on our tropical forest property of 20 hectares. We offer restaurant service in this place.

Great place to stay. the trails are amazing lots of birds and animals to watch. there is a River with amazing pools where you can take a swim. good food and great tours.

The lodges are simple and rustic but have everything needed. Food was home cooked and very nice. It was a bit of a trek up the hill to the lodges but we got used to it and the staff helped with the bags. Amazing location within the rain forest!

He is attentive, warm, and formal, my very first impression of him was that he genuinely wanted to be of service and help any way he can. The food is very good, home-cooked meals, and juices were not watered down like at many restaurants/lodges I've been to in Costa Rica. Lovely family too! For my SIM card, I got Kolbi, worked well there. Make sure you have a headlamp at night as there are sometimes fer-de-lances (snakes) there.

The family were lovely and very helpful cooking us lunch and dinner and providing us with transportation whenever we needed it (for a small extra charge). They also were also very helpful organising and booking our boat transfers to and from Drake Bay before we arrived.
