Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!

Location was excellent, we walked to The Kennedy centre for a show, strolled banks of Potomac, shopped in Georgetown. Did Capitol, Smithsonian, Lincoln monument, Washington monument on foot.
