The travertines are really a sight to behold BUT I definitely fell for the tourist trap where I thought there'd be blue pools and white rocks everywhere. Most of the travertines have been purposely dried out for the last 30 years and what remains is only a small area for tourists to wade in and pose for instagram shots.

Take the North Gate Entrance instead of the famous South Entrance. This way you will meet let tourist and you'll feel like you have the place for your self. No need to wait for someone else to take photos. Also, it goes through the ruins first instead of the Travertines.

If you are thinking of coming in Winter, do make up your mind that the Travertines are going to be cold and the water is also going to be cold until you reach the top where the water is hot and really nice. Secondly, the travertines are hard to walk on if you are bare foot. Keep your feet safe from pebbles that are present in the travertine pools

Very nice view but a lot different from the pictures and even the years that passed by - my relatives went there around 10 years ago and everything looked more beautifull then... now the water runs down through a small streach and the wall is not all washed with that thermal water...
Please do not go during hot weather, with the sun mercylessly hitting you in the head... if you do please use sun protection, a lot of water and sunglasses...
Hierapolis north gate entrance is a ripp-off: 10 TL entrance for car, 60 TL entrance/person, 6 TL/person transport from the entrance to Travertin wall/museum/ancient pool. Not to mention that if you want to visit museum & everyting is 375TL... that is a lot... Please take care for extremely high prices - for entrance and all the things/souvenirs. I mean 15 TL for a 1.5l bottle of water (when in rest is 4TL)? 15TL for a magnet that in other places you can buy for 5TL? Come on!!!
Conversion rate 1€= 6.12 - 6.39 TL (depending on location/city/region)

They are very dry and have been for a long time. Although they are still awesome to look at. So do not expect to see the images depicted quite commonly of pale blue filled wells, as you will be disappointed. Instead look beyond to the glowing white wall of cloud like formations that roll down the hillside.

Go on your own preferably do not join any tour.
Go on your own preferably do not join any tour. Start from the bottom and head up. Enjoy the pools below. The pools at the top are crowded as all the tours land there after foing the Hierapolis. Go in swimwear if possible so you can enjoy the Cleopatra pool also. Start the day early.

Location is great - right next to the entrance of Pamukkale travertines.
Amazingly comfortable and spacious room.
Great staff.
Overall, had a great stay there.
Great family hotel for a short visit to Pamukkale. The rooms are clean and satisfying. The location is very good, there is a parking on site and it is very close to the Pamukkale travertines and Hierapolis site. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. There is an option for lunch and dinner (we had bed and breakfast booked) for a very reasonable price and the food was very good. Only thing that might need improvement is that the bathroom is a bit outdated and needs some refurbishing but is is clean and there is shower, towels, amenities...
The hosts were extremely helpful, and spoke English. Breakfast was really nice and fresh. The location is convenient to reach Pamukkale travertines and there is a bus stop in few meters to take a bus back to Denizli.
Comfortable and peaceful hotel conveniently located close to the town entrance of the Pamukkale travertines and Hierapolis. Fattah is the most gracious host and the rest of his hotel staff are incredibly friendly. The family are also multigenerational carpet sellers and still produce a handful of local rugs –be sure to stop by the shop– they are happy to share their knowledge. The view overlooking the pool from the balcony is also quite dreamy, especially when there are balloons at sunrise.
