If you are not on a tour, visit the site after 3:30 pm.
If you are not on a tour, visit the site after 3:30 pm. All the buses leave around 3 -4 and the site empties out. Otherwise it is packed with visitors! Start at the museums around 4 while it is still hot and leave the archaeological site to the end.FotiniUnited States of America

We were also able to park on the street next to the hotel. The hotel had a "homey" feeling. There was a nice spread for breakfast, and the hotel staff made some recommendations for restaurants for dinner. Nice breakfast area. There is dedicated parking out front and it is a short walk to the archaeological site. Damiano is a great host and gave us tips for visiting the area. He is also a wonderful bartender in the welcoming common area. We had a lovely time chatting with him about his life story which is quite interesting. Breakfast had a good variety of items and he gave us a great recommendation for the nearby Taverna Orestis. That may have been the best meal of our trip!GingerUnited States of America

They accommodated our request for a top floor room that was lovely and roomy, the pool inviting and a great way to end the afternoon tour of ancient Olympia. It was nice to be only 10 minutes from the town and feel so delightfully remote. The bed was perfect. We didn’t get to the breakfast til near closing, but they treated us as if we owned the hotel. The breakfast was a huge buffet topped by the best extra strong cappuccino around.

The pool was big and clean, the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, in Greece, the restaurant food was delicious. As a matter of fact they have a garden of fresh vegetables they use in their dishes. Service and views were excellent and close to Ancient Olympia. Our family of six loved everything about it.
