The modernising of the interior was well done, and the room was clean and very comfortable. The location was excellent--within walking distance of the sites we wished to visit: Balliol College, Ashmolean Museum and History of Science Museum. The only difficulty for us as elderly folks was the lack of an elevator, but the kindly staff transferred our pre-check-in deposited luggage to our upstairs room while we were out and about.
