This is a Very interesting place and well worth the effort try to catch the walking tour first. Beware of tide times if you walk out there you have to catch the duck back and that’s fun too. A comfortable walk out but the tide comes in about 11am.

Allow at least 2hrs to walk around the grounds and jetty, but longer if you would like to admire the views across St Aubins Bay. It is possible to walk to the castle at low tide, and there are signs which advise of the latest safe time for a return walk, but take the amphibious ferry if you want to save your legs or if the tide is turning.

Very enjoyable, and great views all round if you like heights, and steps to climb, and well worth a visit. Two tips, use the ferry service, don't try walking near tide times, and watch out for Seagulls.
