Well maintained traditional pub downstairs with modern comfortable rooms upstairs. Excellent value meals served in the pub. Quiet location.

I've been staying here frequently as I work nearby and so far I've been impressed with the Bowmans. Prices are very reasonable for a double room and the quality of the bed and furnishings is very high. The location is essentially right in the middle of Howden next to everything, with a convenience store opposite which is great for picking up a sandwich in the morning before work. Downstairs is a pub that shows Sky Sports and serves drinks until late which is great if you're into that.

I had a difficult day travelling to the area and they really went out of their way to make sure I felt okay once I got there. The room itself was lovely, clean and quiet, and my stay was very straightforward. I would recommend this inn!

I stay here every time that I come from France to visit my family, all of the staff are so lovely and helpful, can't say enough nice things about them
